Horn does not function. There have been multiple times where I was nearly run off the road or had to quickly change lanes because another driver was not paying attention and I could not tell them I was there without my horn. The problem has been confirmed by the Porsche dealer I purchased the vehicle from and stated it would be more than $800 to replace the horn. They stated there is no way of fixing it and it would have to be replaced. My husband’s 2015 Porsche cayenne is also having the same issue and I will be filing a separate report. The component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance, or others. There were no warning lights or messages. I did notice the sound of the horn slowly getting weaker over a period of maybe 2 months until it eventually stopped making sound altogether. This all began approximately 1 year ago.
Porsche dashboard leather shrunk and staples pulled out. I was told that if the vehicle was in an accident the airbag might not deploy correctly. The Porsche dealer looked at it and recommended replacing it. This is a very common issue.
All three of my horns are out on my 2013 Porsche Panamera gts.
My 2013 Porsche Panamera has a safety recall (please see attached). I have contacted Porsche cars north America (numerous times) and its dealerships (Porsche of silver spring and others). But all have refused my recall work because I am on a black list via Porsche cars north America. They have declined to work on my car because of past issues with me personally. Each dealership has been instructed not to service my vehicle. When I call the manufacturer the customer service reps say that there is a note on my account that says I am not to be assisted under any circumstances. I'm not sure what to do from here, or who to call. This is my second time reaching out to the NHTSA(phone and email). The first time I filled a report by phone(4-5months ago). I never heard back from anyone. My VIN # is [xxx]. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
