The rear center 3-point seatbelt locks without any occupant and then fails to release. If I do not unbolt the seat belt from the floor, the retractor continues to tighten and begins to crush the seatback cushioning. I have not had more than a few passengers use the center seat, but the belt retraction mechanism should not fail after being used less than a dozen times over the life of the vehicle.
This is for a 2007 SAAB 9-3 sedan (non-convertible). The driver's side front seat belt retractor does not to retract properly and fully. The automatic tensioning system cable in the driver's side front seatbelt retractor could have broken.
