Called devoe automotive in naples to have recalled seatbelt fixed, it just failed to retract. I sent a picture of the VIN. And was told they could not find it and could not help us with out a letter with our VIN on it saying the broken seatbelt was recalled, just because it will not retract that didn't mean it was a recall issue. I astked how I would get a letter but received no guidance. I was also told SAAB is out of business and they will help known customers and since we were in tampa they couldn't help it was so far for us to travel. I stated they are one of five dealership who was listed to fix this recall. Also told them tampa repair man was sick with carona virus and that's why I called them. She told me anyone can fix a broken seatbelt, but that's not true and we can't find anyone to help us. Basically because we were not a local known customer this dealership would not support us unless I proved they had too.

Nhtsa 14v318000 was a recall for seat belts that fails to retract. When I get into my car and pull it out to fasten it often remains slack. That event caused me to do research and find the recall. But it did not extend to my car which has the exact same problem. It appears to me that the recall was too narrow.
Hello, I have been renting this car out for awhile. . . . I have been unable to rent it out because of the recall, however, I repaired this issue months ago and the dealer that repaired the problem has submitted proof to you twice but still no one has updated this to your website and this is severely effecting my car rental business. Please advise?.

The driver's seat-belt has stopped retracting. The item has a recall but parts are not available.
I have a recall on the driver's side seatbelt. It was broken and is unspooled.
Having difficulty getting gm recall #15027, NHTSA #14v318 fixed. Scheduled appointment on August 15, 2017 with authorized service center, Cadillac of norwood and they never ordered the part because they said they had to see the car first which they never told me. Service advisor told me they would call me when part was in, which never happened. Called after and pete fitzpatrick was dismissive of my complaint.
The NHTSA announced a recall pertaining to the drivers side seatbelt not retracting. Recall #14v318000. As of 3/10/17, my 2010 SAAB 9. 3 sedan is experiencing the same issue as the recall but, the recall only stipulates the convertible model. My question relates to how did the NHTSA determine it was only that model and not the others? right now my seatbelt doesn't retract when extended in the normal operating extended position. I feel this is an extreme safety issue which could potentially involve all other 2010 models. Please clarify.

Hi all, we receive a notice several months ago regarding a recall to the airbags in our car. At the time they said there was currently no rememdy. I just checked safecar. Gov to check if there were any updates and it says "recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available " we are worried about using this car as recently an eleventh person was killed by these airbags. Is there some way to expedite the replacement of the airbags? thanks you so much for any help you might be able to offer. Scott.
Front driver seat belt retractor has failed when I went to fasten my seat belt.
The contact owns a 2005 SAAB 9-3. While driving 30 mph, the front passenger side seat belt failed to retract without warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14v318000 (seat belts). The failure mileage was 128,000.
I recieved a letter recall 15027 dated December 2018. I had to have my seatbelt repaired in June 2016. The cost of the repair was $401 and was repaired by bicklers repair. I am requesting reembursement for the repair in 2016. It is still not functioning correctly so I currently have it in for repairs at rimrock pontiac in billings.
Takata recall. Received notice in March 2016 that parts were not available to fix, and to date have still received no notification of how to get this corrected. Also, received notice of safety belt recall but again no notification of where and when parts would be available.

SAAB recall. I received both seat belt retractor and airbag inflate defect safety recall notice. However, in my car the seat belt retractor malfunction is in the driver side. I have called the SAAB official service center and the dealer for both problems several days up today and I have not had an answer or solution to those problems. Besides, I have tried to repair the seat belt, but I can't find the part. As you can see in the attached photos to drive with a seat belt in that conditions is extremely dangerous. However, I feel that I am not safe driving my car, and that the hazard has increased with this car's airbag malfunction. I am a 79 years old man who has this car as the only mean of transportation that I have.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 SAAB 9-3. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 14v318000 (seat belts) and 16v063000 (air bags) however, the parts to do the repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the issues. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available and parts distribution disconnect.
Driver seat belt fails to retract. When retraction failure occurs, it is obvious to the seat occupant immediately. If a crash were to occur with a seat belt in this condition, the result could increase the risk of injury to the driver. The seat belt retraction failure has been reproduced and confirmed. No warning lamps but, the seat belt showed earlier symptoms of not working properly, by not engaging when hard braking occurred. I will have the tensioner replaced.
Recall 14222/15027. Received safety recall notice to replace driver's side seatbelt mechanism. Upon making service appointment with local gm dealer they stated they do not have a technician to do it. I tried calling the 800 number on the recall notice and got a recording that the number was no longer in service. How can I find out who can perform this recall service?.
The rear center 3-point seatbelt locks without any occupant and then fails to release. If I do not unbolt the seat belt from the floor, the retractor continues to tighten and begins to crush the seatback cushioning. I have not had more than a few passengers use the center seat, but the belt retraction mechanism should not fail after being used less than a dozen times over the life of the vehicle.
Driver seat-belt is not retracting, and operated defectively similar to recalled SAAB convertibles and other recalled gm models. Driver therefore has no working seatbelt and was told by the dealership that it was not covered under warranty. Gm installed the defective seat belt in multiple vehicles that have already been recalled. Thank you for your consideration. Has been an issue since 2015.
Seatbelt retractor on driver's side completely unspooled and will not retract under normal use effecting driver's safety in event of a crash. While convertible and passeger side retractors seem to be covered under warranty we are told our car is not covered and it is $550 to repair the problem. This doesn't make sense when so many Saabs have this problem. The car was parked when it unspooled and wouldn't retract. This is a major safety issue in operating the vehicle.
We received a notice about gm recall 14222/15027, that we need to take our car to a SAAB official service center to have the driver's side seatbelt replaced. We live in birmingham, alabama, and there is no SAAB osc in our state. I contacted SAAB, and was told we can only take the car to a SAAB osc "as they are the only ones that have access to this part and can install, then cover the repair and then close out the recall. " the nearest SAAB oscs are in chattanooga, TN (about 150 miles away) and marietta, GA (about 159 miles). Being forced to drive this distance, especially with an unsafe seatbelt, seems like an onerous burden that should not be placed on the owner. Do I have any rights to be able to have the repair done within a reasonable distance of my home?.
Tl-the contact owns a 2005 SAAB 9-5. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked. The seat belt retractor was broken. The vehicle was not taken to dealer or diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number:14v318000 (seat belts). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was unknown. Ak.

The driver seat belt internal cable broke. I took it to an authorized dealer. There is a recall. But, the parts are backordered over 10 months. This is a huge safety issue. Nothing I can do. Gm has not provided a date when the parts will be available.
The retractor for the driver side seat belt in my 2005 SAAB 9-3 aero convertible broke. This defect is already subject of a recall by gm. I am the original owner, but did not receive notice of this recall. I have contacted gm, the local dealer, and parts distributor several times, and was told that the item is on indefinite back order and is unlikely to be available any time in the future. I believe this significantly compromises the safety of the car and is an attempt by gm to avoid the recall and repairing this safety defect. What can be done to make sure gm complies with the recall requirements?.
This is for a 2007 SAAB 9-3 sedan (non-convertible). The driver's side front seat belt retractor does not to retract properly and fully. The automatic tensioning system cable in the driver's side front seatbelt retractor could have broken. In the event of a crash, the seat belt that has not retracted may not properly restrain the seat occupant, increasing their risk of injury.
Unable to have manufacturer recall number15027 NHTSA recall number14v318 completed. This recall is over 2 years old. Service center continues to tell be parts are not available.
I do have a 2004 SAAB 9-3 arc convertible. There is a seat belt recall. I brought the car to my GMC tustin dealer 3 weeks ago. However, they cannot fix the problem because the part is not available. Since it is a seat belt issue, I do not like to drive the car because of safety issue. By law, how fast does the manufacturer have to replace the part?.
The contact owns a 2006 SAAB 9-3. While driving at approximately 15 mph while the brake pedal was depressed, the seat belt violently seized across the contact's chest causing her to lose consciousness. As a result, the contact crashed into the rear of another vehicle and the air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 163,000.
