I have a 2004 SAAB 9-3. Today, I exited my car and when I closed the door, the adhesive holding the glass to my side view mirror failed(the mirror/glass fell to the ground). This is the first time this has happened to me. I feel that this is a serious concern because I use my mirrors all the time while driving and making safe lane changes. I now have a drivers side mirror(glass) that is no longer there. I feel this is a serious safety issue. Many people have certain medical issues that will not allow them to completely turn their neck/torso to the left to view oncoming traffic while trying to merge. 2003 9-3 linear. Requesting follow up status on memo, dated 3-26-06. The vehicle engine would not shut off although the key was removed from the ignition. The vehicle had several brake problems. The vehicle hesitated slightly when moving. When braking the vehicle would jerk and skid. The brakes grabbed which caused the vehicle to stop quickly. The alarm was very sensitive. Everytime a bus or truck passed the vehicle with the alarm engaged it would sound. The dealer said there was not way to adjust the sensitivity of the alarm. The windows were off track. The steering wheel seized when the consumer was driving on the highway. *****.

A crack formed on the inside layer of the glass right where the driver's side convertible top latch in the frame is located. The dealer declared that this occurred as a result of an impact as opposed to stress from the frame and refused to correct it under the warranty. There was no sign of an exterior impact and the crack originated on the interior side of the glass. There is clearly a defect either in the construction of the windshield or in the manner in which the top latches to the frame, which caused the glass to crack .
