1 Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 11/11/2013

Fuel level low light on causes the engine to seize and shut down, even after putting gasoline in the tank.

2 Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 11/16/2011

I was driving down the road then I noticed my fuel gauge went up to full then went down to empty and stayed there. I decided to stop and get gas and filled up my tank, once I started the car again the fuel gauge still read empty. As I was driving home the gauge slowly started to move to full but later went back to empty once I arrived home. The past 2 weeks after the first incident the gauge has been staying on empty even with a full tank. Im afraid of running out of fuel while driving out in the country or on the highway and getting into an accident. I have a family and fear for our safety when we are out driving and not sure how much fuel is in our vehicle.

3 Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 09/20/2011

My fuel gauge reading has been going back and forth from empty to full. I have put a full tank of gas in it and it reads empty. This began a few weeks ago and has not stopped. It has caused my engine light to come on as well. I went to have it tested at a shop and they said it was the fuel sender. I have researched and found a number of complaints about this. I ask how will I be compensated for this inconvenience?.

4 Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 05/25/2011

After filling the fuel tank the gauge is still reading empty. While driving the gauge jumped up to full then dropped back to empty.

5 Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 05/02/2011

SAAB 97x SUV. . . Fuel gauge giving false readings. My mechanic told me it is a rampant problem with gm units of similar vintage. My gas gauge started giving me occasional false readings a few thousand miles ago. They become more and more frequent. Currently, the gas gauge only reads empty. While I can figure out how many miles I can travel before the need to fill up, I fear my wife may not be able to keep track as easily. I'm just afraid that the car will be rear-ended if it stalls out from a false reading, and the gas tank actually is empty.

6 Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 04/15/2011

I have a 2006 SAAB 97-x. Over the past two years I have had problems with my fuel guage. I have run out of gas several times and now have to monitor my fuel through my consumption reading to know how much I have. I have almost stalled several times on the freeway. I am now seeing that I am not the only person with this problem and I am lucky I am observant enough as a driver to not have been injured in a crash. The local SAAB dealer wanted over $600 to drop my fuel tank and "investigate" the problem. This is ridiculous and gm should be responsible and accountable for this problem!!!.

7 Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2010

Fuel gage inconsistant. With full tank of fuel, gage shows empty. After using approx three gallons of fuel, gage will work, after using approx six more gallons of fuel, gage shows empty. Does not work again until tahk is full and approx three gallons of fuel is used again, than stop's working after approx six gallons of fuel is used.

8 Tank Assembly problem

2006 SAAB 9-7x. Fuel level sensor failure causing tank to read full when empty, empty when fuel and fluctuates in between full and empty. This problem is widely reported and documented.
