The contact owns a 2002 (na) Saturn Aura. While driving unknown speeds, the traction control indicator illuminated. Additionally, there was an abnormal fuel odor while approaching the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that fuel was seeping from the fuel tank. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (walker Buick GMC, 1616 macarthur drive, alexandria, la 71301) where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 88,210.

2 Traction Control System problem

Failure Date: 09/15/2016

The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Aura. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired per NHTSA campaign number: 14v252000 (electrical system). After the repair, the anti-theft and traction control indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was invalid. The failure mileage was 146,498.

3 Traction Control System problem

Failure Date: 09/25/2014

The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Aura. The contact stated that the service traction control sensor illuminated and the vehicle was jerking forward while traveling at any speed. Also, the contact mentioned that it became difficult to shift gears. The contact stated that the vehicle was recently repaired under NHTSA campaign id number: 14v224000 (power train). 4 Traction Control System problem

The contact stated that the exterior brake lights illuminated when the brake pedal was not depressed and the exterior brake lights failed to illuminate when the brake pedal was depressed. The contact stated that the electronic stability and traction control were disabled and the cruise control disengaged intermittently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. 5 Traction Control System problem

Failure Date: 03/03/2012

Driving on the interstates and all of a sudden the car went from 65 to 40 almost got rear ended. The dash displayed service traction control. The cars speed dropped so fast I was almost rear ended by a semi. Luckily I glanced up in time not to get rear ended. The car is now running fine. After looking through some sites it appears a lot of people have this issue and not even with high miles some had it with 3600 miles on there car. Also the ones that did seek service they were unable to determine the issue and kept reoccuring.
