I was driving and all of a sudden I lost power steering and I had to get over pull over and I was freaking out I could have crashed my dash was saying service ecs.
Electric power steering randomly disables assist but resumes with restart. Brake lights randomly illuminate and randomly stop working.
The brake lights illuminate without the brake pedal being pushed; the brake lights will not illuminate when the pedal is pushed; difficulty disengaging the cruise control; moving the gear shifter out of the 'park' position without pushing the brake; and disablement of crash avoidance features such as traction control, electronic stability control, and panic braking assist features. The car is available for inspection upon request. I am put at risk because there are multiple system malfunctions that occur that could result in a wreck or injury. The brakes selectively illuminating can result in a rear end collision and is not safe for travel. The traction control malfunction is unsafe for safe travel on the road. When the problem occurs the tsc will disengage with a light on the dashboard. The brake lights will stay illuminated.
Saturn Aura 2009 the third light sticks while driving. The seat belt light stays on with the belt engaged.
When going down road break lights are on. When press break pedal break lights go off. This is similar to recall campaign 14v252000 but my VIN is not listed in the recall. With this I am getting warning of service esc then service traction and my traction control light will stay on the dash. During these times the vehicle will shift erratically, up shifting and down shifting at incorrect times. This makes it difficult sometime to control the vehicle. The break light happens at any speed. The erratic shifting happens mostly when vehicle is going greater than 35 mph.
Takata recall there is something wrong with the structure of the car there is rattle/vibration when going over 50 mph. Car has been maintenance twice in the past 2 years for electrical and break pad replacement and I'm still having a vibration and rattle sound while driving.
I have a 2009 Saturn Aura xr, I was driving to get on the freeway going about 40-45mph then the light can on saying "esc traction" "engine power reduce" the car started to lose power and the brakes felt really tight. I tried to accelerate but it wouldn't go no faster than 30mph. I exited the freeway parked the car turned if off and turned it back on. When I turned it back on the same problem "esc traction" "engine power reduce" and the check engine light was on, the car was on parked position and the car started to jolt forward. I had to wait for about 1-2 hours before the car was back to itself but this time it felt different driving it. The car felt like it was accelerating too quickly and I wasn't going no more than 15mph. This has happened 3 times in the past month. Is there a recall on this car because its unsafe to drive not knowing when the 'esc traction" "engine power reduce" lights will come on again.
On 4/27/14, vehicle lost power steering and power brakes when driving vehicle in parking space at 10mph. Driver applied two feet to brakes and vehicle would not stop. Steering too difficult to turn. Emergency brake applied as vehicle extremely difficult to steer or apply brakes to stop vehicle. Narrowly missed being hit by another vehicle.
Traction control and check engine light come on intermittently at or about the same time the engine or transmission seems to malfunction.
My mother was driving her vehicle when it suddenly accelerated to over 100 mph, she crashed her vehicle and died from the impact. Witnesses state she had her flashers on and she was observed trying to control the vehicle.
The contact owns a 2009 Saturn Aura. The contact stated that while driving at low speeds making a turn, the brakes malfunctioned making the vehicle very difficult to stop. The contact indicated that the failure would only occur while pressing the brakes and turning the steering wheel at the same time. In addition, the driver's side seat bracket had failed causing the seat to move while operating the vehicle. The seat bracket was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 50,000.
