The automatic transmission shift cable, has malfunctioned. The center piece that connects to the gear shift has melted, and prevents the car from starting and shifting gears. The damage was created due to high temperatures from the motor, being that it is very close to it. This should be replaced by the manufacturer.

Brake lights and headlights randomly go off mainly the brake light thats in the back window!.

The contact owns a 2008 Saturn Aura. The contact stated while driving 75 mph with cruise control activated, the vehicle lost cruise control functionality with the "service traction" message displayed. Additionally, the brake lights turned on unintendedly. The contact stated that the brake lights remained illuminated; however, the brake lights would turn off while depressing the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to duplicate the failure. The brake light comes on by itself for no apparent reason it will turn on like you are braking this could cause and accident it also will slip out of park for no rhyme or reason also which is scary I park on a. Hill and luckily I had my wheels turned towards the curb so it didn't move when it happens multiple times.

The Saturn Aura has repeatedly had door lock switches go out, each time the front head light is replaced, it blows out again, the lights inside the car dim randomly. The traction control/abs lights are disabled on the car constantly despite replacing the ecm, upper and lower intake gaskets, coolant flushing, and other cleared codes. The car jerks and jolts when slowing down, parking, starting, and changing gears. It violently pushes the car. The engine light and tire pressure lights also remain constant despite consistent work on the car. Four different dealerships (including a Chevrolet dealership) have been unable to fix the issues with the car. The car also engaged low power mode and almost caused numerous accidents because the car stopped being able to accelerate while on the road.

Head light stopped working then when I tried to start car again would turn over try or anything starter was checked battery and alternator checked if it ever cranks can't turn off or it won't crank again for 2 plus hours checked relays seems as if it may be wire shortened out when won't crank.

The wipers have stopped working started by breaking plastic clip over and over to nothing. . Power stearing unit worked on a year ago making noise loosing fluid struts lock unlock trunk buttons in car or hand held not working proper were there and progressively worse since purchase.

My problem started with a left turn blinker, it wouldn't turn on and stay fixed. I have to hold it down. And if I would turn right it would stay down but when turn completed it wont go back up. Then when I start the car I hear it working extra hard and I hear electrical sound in steering wheel when stationed . . . Sensors on tire pressure was changed on the right. . . A year ago. . . But all tire pressure sensors still doesn't show pressure correctly. When breaking the wheel shaking badly after alignment.

Taka recall the head lights keep going out keep having to replace them nothing will be wrong with the bulbs but it constantly keeps going out.

I tried pulling my car out of my garage and my car got stuck in drive and will not shift to any other gear. And since it's stuck in drive it will not start back up.

Headlamp, low beams keep going out. It starts with one side then I replace it then the other side goes out. They driver side replaced worked for a month then went out then the passenger side lasted from October 2017 till Jan 5 2018. I keep replacing the low beams. It cost 100$ every time one is replaced. I actually tried replaceing all 4, and still one low beam went out I replaced one then next month another one went out.

Vehicle interior lights do not turn on when the vehicle is unlocked or the door is opened; also the passenger side mirror lights to not come on and the lid to the light/mirror is missing.

I bought my 2009 Saturn Aura in September of 2015. Just recently in December of 2016, whenever I started the vehicle, the steering wheel would begin to vibrate followed by the power steering warning light illuminating. Upon driving the vehicle, the power steering goes completely out at anytime.

The cruise control in my 2008 Saturn Aura is not functioning. Service esc and traction control lights flash on the dashboard intermittently. Brakes lights are on constantly, even when the brake is not applied. I took my car to a Saturn-approved chevy dealer for service and referenced the NHTSA recall #14v252000 from 2014. The mechanics checked the scan data and found the brake pedal learned position data was erractic in the body control module and won't hold the settings. They checked the circuits and connections (and supposedly reperformed the 2014 recall repair) but concluded that the fault is in the bcm. They suggested replacing the bcm, at a cost of $600. I explained to the mechanic that I believe the failing bcm is due to the voltage fluctuations that prompted the recall, left the dealership, and called gm. A senior advisor at gm explained that they will not do anything about the apparent safety defect because the recall did not require replacement of the bcm.

Low beans not working, replaced light bulbs, relays and fuse are good.

Car ran fine this morning on the way to work, which is not even 2 miles from my home . Went to work and straight back no problem. Got in my car this evening to go get food started the car, check engine light came on, and my air bag light came on went to pull forward and the car was jerking and making knocking noises. . .

The rear lights fail without warning. It blows a fuse (10 amp #6 position) intermittently. Front lights are not affected, so driver has no idea when their back lights are out. I have nearly been rear-ended at high rates of speed. This car has been in a repair shop 10 times in the last year. Everyone agrees there's a serious safety problem, but I cannot afford to offer an open check for them to go through the entire electrical system. Therefore, I am only able to drive in the daylight hours.

I have a 2007 Saturn Aura. I'm currently experiencing the issue associated with NHTSA campaign number 14v252000 (recall # 13036). Additional to this issue, I'm complaining that this issue could be associated with draining my car battery. Since this issue I have replaced three (3) brand new batteries. I had my alternator checked twice and both test results diagnosis was passed. Which means that my alternator is good and didn't need to be replaced. Each time I have my battery replaced with a brand new battery the life span of the battery is about 3 weeks. After that the battery is dead. If I don't replace the battery and get a jump start the life span of the battery last about 7-10 days before I will need another jump start. Today, August 9, 2014 I again had my battery and alternator diagnosed and both passed the test. I was told by a certified gm mechanic that my issue could be related to electrical system that is draining (killing) my battery because there is nothing wrong with the battery and the alternator. Could this issue (14v252) be the reason my I'm experiencing my battery to died/drain because of my car is affected by electrical system and electronic stability control issues? the consumer stated the shifting cable was replaced twice and the transmission needed to be replaced. 2008 Saturn Aura. Consumer writes in regards to body control module connection system recall notice issues. The consumer stated she experienced a problem with the traction control warning light illuminating, prior to the recall. The consumer attached the recall notice.

The gear shift would not go into to park, neutral , or reverse, the gear shift to the transmission broke. The steering column fluid is leaking, the front head light went out. The head gasket is wearing out, the car is rusting already on the body. The air conditioning fan is not blowing out cool air or heat. "the transmission feels like it slipping sometimes. I feel so betrayed to have been sold a car that needs so much work when all I wanted was a dependable car to get me to my part time job. It's hard to drive my car now the brakes power steering and light has to be changed frequently.

I had the recall fixed last year. I have already replaced rotors and control arm on this vehicle . I traded in a Saturn that I loved on this Saturn. I bought it new from the dealer but now my interior lights dim my front speakers in the doors come on and off on there own and the back door locks will not unlock right now I can pull the lock up to unlock it but I am worried that there is a short in the wires that may cause a fire I have small children in the backseat if there were a fire I am worried the time it would take to get them out. It is going to cost alot to take to the shop to have the panels taken apart to look for a loose wire. And still my not find the wire. Moved since I bought it so I am now trying to find someone to fix the problem hoping someone who has had this problem can tell me what it is so I can tell a shop. I love my car but not at my children's expense. I have seen the other complaints shown on this site . Need help!!!!.

Vehicle power door locks do not operate unless the car is being shifted in or out of park nor does the key fob work. Vehicle was taken to gm dealer and I was told they could not find a verifiable issue with the door locks. I have been locked out of the vehicle several time because there have been moments that the doors lock on their own. The dash lights also dim on their own and the chime no longer sounds when the doors are opened.

First was door locks kept locking by itself resulting in dead battery. 2nd was traction light coming on at a stop light. 3rd was car alarm goes off when its not set. Most recently esc active came on during light acceleration merging into traffic car would not get up to speed very nearly causing being rear ended by a semi. This happened 3 times luckily no one was killed. 5th the radio turns volume down by itself and you can hear computer or something electrical in dash. Dealer says no codes present. There may not be a code but all this is happening. Please help before someone is hurt or killed.

My brakes lights continue to come off and on for no reason. When my brakes are on and im not braking, if I step on the brake peddle my lights go off,often causing me to nearly get rear ended. I have also had the same problem with the lights turning off my cruise control at random. My last incident happened when the cruise control wouldn't turn off and I almost got sent through a toll gate at 75 mph when I was trying to pull over to pay my toll. If there would have been anyone else in line waiting to pay their tolls I would have surely been in a horrible accident. I have taken my car to three different mechanics on three different incidents and no one can seem to fix the problem. I believe this is a manufacturing flaw and all owners of this vehicle should be notified of the possible risk. Before someone gets seriously hurt, or worse yet killed!.
