Power Window problems of the 2006 Saturn ION

The contact owns a 2006 Saturn Ion. The contact stated that the driver side door failed to open or shut and all the power windows failed to operate. The dealer was not able to open the driver side door and could not continue servicing the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 127,000.

Power window on driver side and now on right back passenger side won't work. Have had to take to dealer 2 times and will have to take it in again for the right back passenger window. I have not had this car more than 2 years.

The contact owns a 2006 Saturn Ion. When the vehicle was stationary, the contact smelled a strong odor of fuel inside and outside of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for inspection and the technician stated the failure was contributed to a crack in the fuel tank line. The fuel pump was replaced by an independent mechanic. The contact had concerns of a potential safety hazard. The failure mileage was 55,200 and the current mileage was 55,595. Updated 12/07/09. I have an 06 Saturn Ion that has had the ignition switch go out on it right as we have no warranty on it, of course. We contacted Saturn head office and tried to explain to them that there seems to be a need for a recall on this vehicle. Not only has the ignition switch gone out the window to the driver side no longer will go up. We owned the car only two days when the same window fell off the track for no reason and they had to fix it. My father also owns the same year make and model car and the window on his driver side also went out just a couple of months ago. There seems to be several recurring issues with this vehicle that I see not only one person is having. They recalled the older model of this car for the same problem with the ignition. This vehicle is too new to have this many incidents occur.
