The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 185,000. As.

2006 Saturn Ion was traveling through a flat curve at 45 mph when the steering froze and the brake pedal would not depress. Vehicle began to spin and left the road striking trees and brush causing some physical damage to the right front and right side of the vehicle. I want to add, in addition to steering, brakes, ignition -- the electronic system in this car is a complete mess.

Car was parked on a slight incline. Hand brake was on. Turned on ignition and engine started. Put right foot on brake and released hand brake. Placed car in reverse and began to lift foot off brake.
