Front Air Bag problems of the 2000 Saturn LS

Two problems related to front air bag have been reported for the 2000 Saturn LS. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 07/29/2008

My 2000 Saturn Ls1 completely shut down while driving, and never started again. It will cost $2500 for a used motor and installation, plus $175 for the tow and the diagnostics; and now I'm enduring significant transportation challenges without a vehicle.

2 Front Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 05/07/2005

While driving about 45 mph caller hit a horse with car and the air bags on driver's side or passenger's side did not deploy. No lights of warning came on dashboard. Vehicle was totaled. Dealer was of no help, and manufacturer has not been contacted yet.
