Four problems related to front seat power adjust have been reported for the 2000 Saturn LS. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Driver's side power seat motor overheated and began to melt upholstery. I had to pull the fuse out of the right side fuse panel to cutoff electrical supply and avoid likely fire.

When driver sits on power adjusting seat, the reclining button will depress unintentionally, and seat will recline backwards . Dealer and manufacturer claim there is no solution.
The placement of the controls for the drivers side automatic seat are positioned in a way that when the driver get out of the vehicle the back of the seat goes back into the rear seat, the seat also slowly creeps backwards while driving down the road. Nlm.
