Three problems related to air conditioner have been reported for the 2002 Saturn LS. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Turned on the a/c and it did not produce any cool air. Faulty a/c compressor clutch. Dealer wanted $1165 to repair.
5/2007 - ac compressor had to be replaced due to freon leaking; the condenser was replaced on this same vehicle in may of 2006.
When air conditioner a/c compressor engages, usually when using defroster as compressor turns on and off during operation headlights dim for a short period of time. It makes the car look like I am flashing the headlights (can enrage other motorists, make trucks think they have a clear shot to change lanes).
