Door Problems of Saturn LS

This car has been nothing but trouble. I have had to have the drive shaft replaced, the motor mounts replaced, the tail light assembly replaced, the steering assembly replaced and I too have a problem with the dash lights dimming. The technicians at the local Saturn dealership are nothing but rude. They dont fix the problems you bring the car in for and you end up having to take it back the next day or even sometimes that same evening for a repair that wasnt done properly. I thought this was going to be a good car but it has been constant trouble and is constantly in the repair shop.

Saturn lw2 4dr wagon 2000, windshield wiper multi function switch broke. The consumer stated the upper edge of the front door is a hazard. The edge of the door is 56 inches from the ground and is sharp.

While driving at 40-45 mph a piece of front driver side tire rim broke off, which caused 2 tire blow outs on the drivers side. Contacted dealer, and dealer was not willing to do anything. . Also both front door inside handles do no go back into place after being used, dealer could not duplicate problem, the molding on driver rear door was chipped.

Left rear back door handle had broken off in consumer's hands. Front driver's inside door handle was broke and replaced under recall. Consumer states that the passenger door handle was also replaced.

While driving 55 mph or more vehicle would vibrate. Vehicle taken to dealer, consumer was informed that the rear control arm bushing needed to be replaced. Consumer states while driving highway speeds, vehicle vibrates, dealer inspected and found all four tires were out of balance, twice at 17748 and 24575 miles. At 40 mph vehicle pops and jerks into gear, whooshing and grinding noise when braking, hearing a clicking noise when accelerating and dealer found power steering pump bad, auto lock not working properly.

Noticed in September of 2000 that driver's inside door handle chrome was bubbling, now coating has come off, and metal was sharp enough that consumer cut his hand on it.

Power door locks shorted out, causing the system to malfunction. Dealer has repaired vehicle twice.

2000 Saturn l w2 4dr wagon, sharp edge on front door, poor design. The consumer is concerned that the sharp edges on the door may cause bodily injury to him and/or his wife.

Door handle inside car can not be used to exit brake froze up at 2,436 miles along with on of the wheels, advised by service people not the use emergency brakes during freezing weather. Oil life monitor light came on at 3,970 miles bad sensor.

Defective catalytic converter found on 2000 Saturn Ls1. The ignition coil was replaced . The consumer stated the cigarette lighter was inoperative, the dealer replaced the fuse. The back door was not even with the body of the vehicle.

Power lock relay switch was defective.
