When it's cold I get frost inside my vehicle I replaced my windshield because I thought air was getting inside to cause the frost but after getting it replaced same issue water is leaking in and causing moisture and causing my vehicle not wanting to start because it's doing something to the battery.
I have a wire that burned-out and it controls my windows, sunroof,my ac controls, and then also my transmission is shutering.
My passenger low beam headlight has burnt out and has been replaced at least 4 times in 1 month. It's currently 12/15/19 and it's burnt out as we speak.
Water is leaking into the vehicle cause electrical malfunctioning. Water is collecting into the battery compartment. Electrical problems caused by water include radio, lights; dashboard( shuts off for a few seconds then comes back on) and interior, door locks, stability track malfunction at which point the car will shake and shut itself off while being driven above 40 mph.
I was driving on the highway. I drove into some water on the road and lost steering. The wheel became very very hard to steer. Then it happened a few more time on the highway. Tonight, driving home in the rain and went threw a puddle of water on the road. Lost steering ability and had to stop the car in the middle of the road. I could not make my turn for the steering was some hard. I also noticed that the charging light came on as well when I went threw this puddle of water. The should be a recall a. S. A. P. This should not happen.
When starting the stabilitrak light comes on and the buzzer goes off, then the check engine lights flickers off and on. This causes a rough idle like a misfire . I have had plugs and coil packs replaced as well as shocks and struts. Error still remains. Mechanic says one issue triggers the other. Have seen 100's of other similar complaints on full size gm trucks and other suvs. Hopefully soon a recall issue.
While driving vehicle, the vehicle steering wheel started to lock or stalling while taking a turn. Initially this was a rarely occurrence. So I went to an auto shop to make sure that steering fluid is at its proper levels; it was. Then a week later, the steering started to lock frequently while taking a right or left turn. I then went to another mechanical shop for a second opinion and they found nothing. Just yesterday(2/9/2019), my vehicle stared to hum and the steering wheel once again tried to lock on me while making another turn and almost caused me 2 accidents on a major road. I was then told to look up to see if there's any recalls on my vehicle and I found nothing but I did find the exact same issues that my Saturn is experiencing currently from previous recalls.
My first issue is that everytime it rains, water leaks from the sunroof. The area around the sunroof will be soaked and dripping down into the seats and down to the floor. Also my liftgate does not work. I have to manually lift it all the way up and down. I can hear the gears turning but they don't work.
The passenger airbag turns off and on regardless if a person (adult) is sitting in the seat or not. This has been happening for about three months now. I contacted the dealer and they said that it was not a recall item nor would it be a safety issue. I feel that if I am in an accident and the air bag does not deploy that the passenger could be in imminent harm at the fault of gm. They will not replace the sensor unless there is a recall. This is a very common problem with several other vehicles as reported on multiple online vehicle owner forums. Gm needs to do the right thing and protect their customers from faulty equipment.
The 2007 Saturn Outlook include ongoing electrical issues (lights intermittent functioning, stabilitrack, traction control and abs lights on intermittently, remote start doesn't work, power lift gate opens on it's own, lift gate switch failed internally.
Roof leaks and passenger side window and door locks do not work.
For a couple weeks I've been having problems opening my trunk hatch, I tried again today and it didn't open. I then bent down to pick up my bags when the hatch opened on its own and hit me in the head pretty hard. It's very frustrating not being able to open my trunk when I have groceries in it. I didn't go to the doctor or the er because I work in the medical field and can recognize the signs of a concussion.

The vehicle was not repaired. The contact received a notification of NHTSA campaign number:15v415000 (structure). The vehicle was serviced under NHTSA campaign number: 15v415000 (structure) however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to a dealer where the technician inform the contact it was an electrical problem. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 110,760. Ak.
Issues with the 2007 Saturn oulook include ongoing electrical issues (lights intermittent functioning, stabilitrack, traction control and abs lights on intermittently, remote start doesn't work, power lift gate opens on it's own, lift gate switch failed internally), air intake filled with oil and water mix, water under fuel induction service, intermittently the stabilitrack will turn off, message saying 'engine power reduced', car shakes, no power and requires coasting to side of road. (this particular issue is temporarily addressed by turning the car off, removing the keys, opening the door, waiting five minutes. Then the car starts but check engine light remains on. ) required new throttle body, replacing struts, sway bar link, shot and/or strut assembly. Rack and pinion, tie rods needed to be replaced. Most recently having difficulties with hard shifting, cel and traction control lights on, intake boot full of oil, vehicle will not shift out of 1st gear until 4000rmp's and does the same thing on highway in 2nd gear.
Tl-the contact owns a 2007 Saturn Outlook. The contact stated that during low climate weather, the ignition was turned into the on position and all of the warning indicators illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was shifted into drive but the vehicle failed to move. The contact also stated that while driving at numerous speeds, all of the warning indicators illuminated as the engine stalled. The contact stated that while driving during low temperatures, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle accelerated. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that there was oil in the engine air flow. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 172,000. Sg.
Purchased this 2007 Saturn Outlook in 2013 used with only around 80k miles on it. The previous owner did tell us about the leaking areas once the drains get clogged, my husband has been diligent cleaning them, but living in florida it rains heavy all the time. We noticed more and more frequently the inside dripping in the 3rd row, until many times, until this past November it rained heavy for 2 days and the water started coming thru what seemed to be from the ac vents on both rows, and through the front driver and passenger side walls very heavy, upon leaving work went to turn off the car took keys out twice and it would not shut off. So now there is the electrical areas being soaked, let it dry out cleaned drains again, and it just seems the more rain we have the more water comes in. Right now car is in garage since we had the same situation with rain and now it is dripping from everywhere. . Afraid to drive car since we know that the electrical system and wires are wet. I have a toddler whom I had to cover with a towel cause water was dripping on her. Gm needs to do something about this, before it caused a fire and could cause death too. This seems to be happening to too many families. . What are they waiting for???.
I have a 2007 Saturn Outlook whis is leaking water in through what I assume is the sunroof. My son, who was sitting in the third row of seating (back seat) noticed water leaking from the dome light. The water was also noticed in other areas of the vehicle throughout the drive. I have also started noticing electrical issues with the vehicle not that the rain has come in as well as water stains from other such issues.
On Saturday July 5, 2014, while traveling n/b on I-81 in virginia my 2007 Saturn Outlook xr suddenly began to lose power to the engine. At the time, I was in the left lane and going approximately 70 mph. At no time did any check engine light or other service indicator come on. Fortunately I was able to steer the vehicle over to the right shoulder before it completely stopped. After about 30 minutes on the shoulder the vehicle lost all electrical power. I had my wife and 3 kids (8yr, 6yr and 3 month old) in the car when this happened. It took an hour for the tow truck to get to us. We loaded the car seats and all of us into the tow truck and were towed to a mechanics shop in front royal, va. Since all shops were closed at that time, we had to leave our car and went to a hotel. On Monday July 7th, we were told it would be at least a few days until they figured out what went wrong. I rented a car and drove home to NJ. On Thursday July 10th, the mechanic shop called and said the engine was completely shot due to a missing valve cover inside the engine, 1 of the catalytic converters not working and multiple pistons failing. On July 24th the car was finally picked up and transported to another mechanic by my residence. The next day that shop called with the same diagnosis and said I needed a new engine. I had to purchase a new engine from gm for $5,000. That purchase with labor and tax will cost me $7,500. This whole breakdown ended up costing me approx. $9,000 total and I am still waiting to get my car back. The vehicle has been in my family since it was purchased and had all the recommended tune ups/recalls performed. It bothers me that gm puts families at risk by not addressing this issue. Breaking down on the side of the highway puts people in dangerous situations. Gm should own up to this problem and take all appropriate action to prevent a potential tragedy.
The car just caught on fire. The fire started under the hood and in the dash. The front of the car burned up completely. The car is a total loss.
The car caught on fire.
Roof leaks from sunroof /moonroof. Everytime it rains my 2007 Saturn Outlook roof leaks. The water travels into the pillars and where the air bags are stored in the columns. I am not sure if this will effect air bag operation or deployment. Leaks into the glove box and behind dashboard as well as into the rear passenger / storage area. The floors are saturated and the vehicle smells of mold. Random dashboard lights come on periodically.
My Saturn was disabled while driving on the freeway due to a cracked waveplate resulting in loss of gear which was repaired but was currently turned over for reimbursement. Problem solved. While my vehicle was in for repair the body control module was found to be faulty and needed replacement. After discussing this with my service rep at the dealership, and performing research I have found that this is a huge problem that is not being addressed. Failure of the bcm rendered my vehicle dead in the water. Thankfully other faulty equipment had me in a rental car at the time of the issue. I would like this issue to be investigated and believe a recall is in order. To me, the fact that I had to replace the module and there is a known issue only tells me it will happen again. I don't want to be left stranded and have my family along when it fails the next time.
The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Outlook. The contact attempted to replace the fuse for the turn signals but inadvertently removed another fuse. As a result, the gear shifter, door locks and a few other components became inoperative. The contact was concerned that there would be a failure while the vehicle was in operation. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for inspection. The contact was able to replace the fuse. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 110,000.
The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Outlook. The contact stated that when it rained, water leaked inside the vehicle from underneath the glove box compartment, driver's visor, sun roof, and the rear exterior accessory light. The contact discovered mold growing on both front doors and the front passenger floor. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician diagnosed that the failure was due to an air conditioner malfunction. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The contact stated that the air conditioner then failed completely. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000.
When driving through a puddle, there was a loss of power steering and brakes. I had the interior liners replaced but the problem still occurs. The electrical problems have increased dramatically since the original date of the problem and at this point, I think this vehicle is extremely dangerous to drive. The driver information center is out, there are two windows that no longer open, the stabilitrak light comes on intermittently (this is new last week), there is another warning sound coming on when I make a sharp turn but I am not sure what this is for since the driver information center is out. Once I could not get the door to shut completely and I had to start the car, lock and unlock the doors and then the door would shut. The audio/navigation screen loses power and restarts every couple days during my drive. Note: I have also had the power steering replaced in March and replaced the replacement transmission about the same time.
The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Outlook. While driving at various speeds, the contact heard water moving around in the vehicle. While turning, water poured into the vehicle. The contact stated that the water was inside of the interior and exterior lighting. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that the sun roof needed to be flushed. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 67,000. The VIN was unavailable.
We purchased this 2007 Outlook back in April of this year. The dealership gave us a sheet that purported to indicate that the vehicle had gone through a full inspection and was clean. We live in north florida and have had a lot of rain lately. Every time it rains, water gets into the doors and into the vehicle itself - we can hear it sloshing around in the doors and in the dash of the vehicle - and there will be water, as much as half an inch, on the floorboards of the vehicle. This is wreaking havoc with the electrical system, and sometimes there will be the smell of something burning. The fans, particularly in the back of the vehicle, are running intermittently; there is a crackling noise that comes through the radio speakers even when the radio system is turned off, and there is so much moisture in the vehicle that the windows fog, making it impossible to see, and the fog is difficult to clear even with the defrost system because it's not being caused by cool temperatures but rather by the moisture in the vehicle. Yesterday, I drove it to walmart and then home after work with no problems, parked it in our driveway, and didn't leave the house the rest of the day; this morning, we went outside, and when my husband put the key in the ignition to start the car, it wouldn't start at all, and then he couldn't get his key out of the ignition; we had to lock the doors manually and leave it there with the keys in it. Back in June, one of our local news stations reported on a recall of 194,000 gm suvs for similar issues with water leaking into the doors and that gm would be contacting owners of affected models to bring their vehicles in for repairs, but we have not received any kind of notification from gm, and ours is obviously one of the vehicles affected.
Passenger side low beam bulb was out. Bought replacement bulbs but none of them worked. Inspected harness and it appears that the connector is melted/damaged somehow.
Sunroof started leaking and leaked into the fuse boxes and cause the fuse box and wires to corrode which caused the car to not shut off could drive down the road shut the car off and take the key out and it would still run.
1st incident: 10/02/2011 I was merging on to the highway, when I noticed my headlights became dim. I noticed by the reflection on the car in front of me that my driver side headlamp was out so I stop to buy a set of replacement bulbs. As I got in the car to go home from the auto part store, I noticed the driverside headlamp had came back on. 2nd incident: 10/20/2011 as I was driving down the road, I noticed driver side headlamp flicker and go out. I figure it was a blown bulb but I turned the headlamps switch off and back on, and the driver side headlamp came back on.
Sunroof leaking water into the passage compartment and down the front firewall and glove box compartment. Water entered into the cover that hides the front a/c blower motor. Motor is sitting in 1-2 inches of water. Motor starting to corrode and stopped working. Lucky there wasn't a fire. Found utube video describing how to fix this problem. Removed cover to blower and freed up blower motor corrosion. Ordered a replacement blower motor. Drilled 2 holes in this cover to allow future water collection a drainage route out of this cover. Sunroof needs recalled and blower motors need recalled as well. . Read more...
After a strong rain storm that lasted most of the night wok up to find out that the ac blower will not work in the front of the car only the back blower for rear passengers worked. With the blower being out there is no defrost for the front windshield as well. Went online and found on the Saturn forum a youtube video on water damage 2009-11-13 TSB 07-08-57-002f the video clearly shows how to remove the blower motor and check for water damage, took my blower motor out and found the motor locked up with one of the motor screws showing oxidation from water and electricity contact and the cover where the blow motor sits has a pad that has water marks.
1) car no longer shifts out of first gear (automatic transmission). 2) car continues to run for up to 30 seconds when the key is removed. Dealer states that a water leak beginning at the sunroof leaks water onto the fuse area in the engine compartment causing failures requiring a fuse box replacement. The vehicle has had leaks leaving water on the headliner, front seats, front driver and front passenger floors in the past all repaired by the dealer under warranty. Dealer charges so far are $500 to repair the leak, $500 to replace the fusebox, and still not sure any of those repairs have resolved the two initial issues.
I noticed my Outlook leaking water 3 mos. After I bought it. The airbags on passenger side stopped working. The car would not shut off in the garage. The dealer states its a leak that has allowed water to ruin the electronics all over the vehicle. This is a problem all over the internet. No one can fix it. They have 7 tech bulletins. . . Still no fix. The dealership wants 1500. 00 to "start" looking into the problem. Please help me! I can't drive a moldy car with intermittent airbags and possible power steering malfunction with my kids in the car! this will bankrupt me. What do I do?? no one online has found a solution. . . Just 1000's of dollars and scary situations on the road (defrost blowers breaking, losing power steering, engine quitting, water dumping on their laps). Please make them recall this or help us fix it!.
My key keeps getting stuck in the ignition, my husband has to disconnect the battery to get it out, I have told gm about the problem they say that they are not aware of the problem but when I go online I see hundreds of posts about their vehicles having the same problem. I'm sure that they do know about it. The vehicle is not in a safe position (park) when the key gets stuck in the ignition. I think that gm needs to be held liable and the issue needs to be recalled.
