When it's cold I get frost inside my vehicle I replaced my windshield because I thought air was getting inside to cause the frost but after getting it replaced same issue water is leaking in and causing moisture and causing my vehicle not wanting to start because it's doing something to the battery.
While driving, the car will automatically shift into 1st gear. Steering will then be disabled to the point of crash. Transmission/computer issue. Major issue with Saturn Outlooks.
Hi! I recently bought a car from a dealership called epb auto. The car I purchased was describes as having no recalls nor other problems besides the abs light (which I was informed by the dealer would go off with new tires) on and a check engine light. The dealer specified that the check engine was just the gas cap. Which he claimed that the mechanic read with his computer. I was told there was no problems, also claimed he'd replace the windshield. Which he did not. I tried to call to explain the situation. He claimed the mobile mechanic won't be able to come out until Monday. My whole vitality relies on that vehicle and I cannot find a mechanic that will fix the recalls. Please help! recalls include the timing chain and timing tensioner, windshield, liftgate, air bag sensors, electrical system failures.
The rear lift gate or strut support for the hatch of my 2007 Saturn, Outlook gradually fell on my son and I while putting the groceries in the car at walmart more than a few months ago; now the hatch no longer holds its weight and drops when you try to lift it, because it is pretty heavy, so as of today, I have not used the hatch for many months now, because it is not safe. I have called a few dealers that deal with Saturn, GMC even Buick and they all say that they do not work on vehicles over 10 years. (?) one of the mechanics said that he thought there was a recall on the lift gate like 3 years ago. ? I am to the point that I might as well find a local mechanic to fix the lift gate or strut for the hatch. Also, the passenger side air bag light has been on since January or February of 2019 and it won't turn off or reset?.
Tailgate not. Working properly I the dealership the say is good.
Just purchased myself a used Saturn Outlook. Happened to storm the night I purchased it. My car has a sunroof and moonroof. They are both leaking into my car. There are currently five airbag sensors that are no longer working and it is believed that the damage is being caused by the leaking water running along the side panels and down under the seats and into the battery area behind the passenger seat. I'm scared that this is will lead to an electrical shortage either at the battery area (its already corroded the connectors on at least one battery), my fuses, or worse. Since my daughter and I both have asthma, mold growth is a serious concern. And worse yet, failure of airbags causing death/serious injury to myself and/or my children and passengers. To see that gm knows there's a problem and is not doing anything to rectify it is absurd. I'm glad that their bottom dollar is more important than us living through an accident. I feel like I'm stuck paying for something I can't afford which isn't remotely my fault (its an obvious design flaw) because surviving an accident, not dying from an electrical malfunction, and breathing when mold grows is actually a pretty important thing. I'm legitimately scared that the airbag malfunctioning might actually kill someone.
Liftgate was not staying up - there was a recall and I took it in - now. . . . . . . I had mine ¿fixed¿ and when I was getting ready to trade in, low and behold it starts to open then closes right away again. They didn¿t change any parts, they only ¿reprogrammed¿ the motor per the paperwork. I just called the dealer repair service and they say, I am right they didn¿t the steps are to first ¿reprogram¿ and if that fixes it they don¿t have to change anything out. Now my hatch open partly then closes again, without even going all the way up and I was just told, bring it back up and we will check it and it if does not link to the recall, they will need to do more testing. Go figure¿. . My car wasn¿t doing this when I took it in, and now mysteriously this happens. Not happy!!!!!!.
Roof leaks and passenger side window and door locks do not work.
External temperature sensor is giving inaccurate temperature readings. Technical service bulletin 08-01-39-008a describes the issue with my vehicle perfectly. This same TSB lists my vehicle as affected by this problem. I contacted two dealership service departments and gm corporate twice about this issue. They will not perform the work because their VIN search does not yield the TSB as applicable my vehicle. On one occasion I was able to convince the customer service representative to look up the TSB and they confirmed my vehicle's make/model listed on the TSB. I have a serious concern about ice/inclement weather not being reported as it should. When driving through some of the mountainous regions here, the temperature can drop quickly without occupants being aware. Problem occurs intermittently both sometimes while driving and sometimes after starting. There is no observed difference based on parking location (in the shade, garaged, outside in the sun, etc. . . ) the problem sometimes corrects itself after vehicle has been turned off. The problem has been observed at least a dozen times.
While driving at 30 mph daah board lit up - engine power reduced - traction control go off and stabiltrak says it's off. I lost all power in car while driving including steering with kids in the car, and incoming traffic. Car would not restart immediately, it took 10 min. For it to start back up and dash lit up stating "starting disabled, service throttle". Taking to service repair - saw service. Bulletin for other models with same issues.
For a couple weeks I've been having problems opening my trunk hatch, I tried again today and it didn't open. I then bent down to pick up my bags when the hatch opened on its own and hit me in the head pretty hard. It's very frustrating not being able to open my trunk when I have groceries in it. I didn't go to the doctor or the er because I work in the medical field and can recognize the signs of a concussion.
On two occasions my car stopped driving while going around 40 to 55 mph. I was driving sometime the end of July 2015 when the car stopped without warning while going about 45 mph. The dash lights were on but all panels were on 0. It made a couple of thrusts then stopped. After a minute I put my foot on the gas and the car resumed driving. On August 8th while my husband was driving it going about 55 mph the car stopped again with no warning but finally a warning came on indicating a problem with the stabilitrak and then he was able to press the gas and the car started moving again. We will be making an appointment with dealership service center to find out what the problem is but from my research this seems to be a recurring problem. Thankfully no one was behind us both times or someone could of been seriously hurt. Please investigate this problem before someone does die.
I was stopped at a red light on an off ramp, and my car just shut off. When I tried to start it, it made horrible noises and would never stay on. I took it to a mechanic and he said it's possibly the timing chain. There is a recall of timing chains except it's 120,000 miles or 10 years, which comes first. My car has 128,000 miles on it and is not eligible by 8,000 miles!!!!! this car has already had too many problems, now gm knows there is a timing chain issue, they should not limit the replacement on this or any other item that they know is faulty or will be a problem for all 2007 Saturns.
Since Feb. , the engine light on my Saturn has been coming on/going off. Since then is no longer under warranty, took it to a local mechanic who read the obd code as p0017 and cleared the code. We were told to replace the gas cap--we bought a new one--engine light back on/back off. I began googling this and found there were many Saturn owners with this issue. Finally, just this past week, I learned that gm had indeed issued a service bulletin about this--affecting the timing, which is another issue I was told could be the problem. Then, since gm had had so many complaints, they extended the warranty/fix, however, they only extended it to 120k miles/10 years, whichever occurs first. My car is not 10 years, but, it does have over the mileage. My question is who decides these magic numbers??? this Saturn has been a lemon to say the very least! major flooding inside the car---we repaired it with no help from gm; thermostat failed--we repaired it with no help from gm; transmission failed--we replaced it with no help from gm; etc. ; etc. You do not receive these service bulletins (only recalls), then once you realize you have an issue and take it in, your beyond the mileage. We purchased this Saturn due to so many friends who owned one and swore by it!! this, and the fact that in our 45+ year marriage, we've only owned gm products. But, no more!!! this cured us!!.
Purchased this 2007 Saturn Outlook in 2013 used with only around 80k miles on it. The previous owner did tell us about the leaking areas once the drains get clogged, my husband has been diligent cleaning them, but living in florida it rains heavy all the time. We noticed more and more frequently the inside dripping in the 3rd row, until many times, until this past November it rained heavy for 2 days and the water started coming thru what seemed to be from the ac vents on both rows, and through the front driver and passenger side walls very heavy, upon leaving work went to turn off the car took keys out twice and it would not shut off. So now there is the electrical areas being soaked, let it dry out cleaned drains again, and it just seems the more rain we have the more water comes in. Right now car is in garage since we had the same situation with rain and now it is dripping from everywhere. . Afraid to drive car since we know that the electrical system and wires are wet. I have a toddler whom I had to cover with a towel cause water was dripping on her. Gm needs to do something about this, before it caused a fire and could cause death too. This seems to be happening to too many families. . What are they waiting for???.
Bought this 2007 Saturn Outlook new in April 2007. . August 2008 first time I noticed floor boards on passengers side wet, took to Saturn they said the drain line was clogged, oct 2008 back to Saturn they had a campaign to extend drain lines they did this. . November 2009 the drivers side is now leaking Saturn secured the drain hose for sunroof. My car has always been garaged until oct 2014. Now that it is parked out in the elements I have a major roof leak. Took it to gm on oct 2, 2014 as I now have wet/water stains on the passengers side headliner, they said the drain was clogged fixed in 2 minutes. We had rain for a week and on oct. 24, 2014 I now noticed wet/water stains on both sides and across the windshield, under the visors and the roof panel where the interior lights and controls are for the sunroof. Take to gm dealer they say the drivers side drain hose was clogged fixed in a minute. Back to gm on Nov 15, 2014 they now say the seal around the sunroof needs to be replaced, they replace seal. Nov 17, 2014 leak is worse than ever. I have now spent $500. 00 to have a leak fixed to no avail. I have searched the internet now and see this is not an isolated incident. 100's if not 1000's of gm Saturn Outlooks with and without sunroofs have leaky roofs. It is a design flaw and gm will not own up to it. This needs to be a recall item. I am now told to spend $2,150 to replace the sunroof bucket. After reading all the horror stories about this issue I do not believe there is a fix for gm's mistake. I have a case # with gm but they don't want to hear anything. Please issue a recall on this engineed design flaw.
While turning across 2 oncoming lanes into a shopping center in my 2007 Saturn Outlook, I suddenly had no power to the wheels. No power in drive or reverse. Luckily, no oncoming vehicles. Towed to dealership who advised transmission was destroyed. Cost to replace- $3950, and transmission is on back-order. Vehicle is still at dealership waiting for parts as of 07/06/14. Outlook was purchased new and has been serviced regularly. It has only been driven by my wife and I and has never been used to tow. Research has shown this to be too common of a safety problem for a vehicle with 58,000 miles.
My 2007 Saturn Outlook continuously leaks water from the roof every time it rains. The leaking water is not one drip here and there, but a gush of water will come out of these areas and will continue to leak while it is raining. The water will drain out of the headliner, the airbag areas, the light fixtures, the seat belt areas all in the front and back of the car and will also drench the passenger and driver side floor boards. This has caused my car to have a musty moldy smell to it. I find it very discerning that after you purchase a vehicle, it will have these safety issues such as water leaking. I understand that these things happen, but I am afraid that this will cause a shortage with the wiring systems in my vehicle thus causing even more damage. Since the water started leaking from the roof, I have had airbag issues and windshield wiper issues (it runs constantly). I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone.
Vehicle's transmission suddenly lost traction. Driving my child to school and suddenly the vehicle's transmission slipped and would not run. Was caught in the middle of an intersection with 5 year old and baby on board. Thankfully oncoming traffic saw us and slowed down to go around us.
Leaking front sunroof of Saturn Outlook xe 2007. This has affected the wiring within the vehicle and causing other issues as well as the water continues to come into the vehicle. Multiple attempts to fix the problem have not solved it.
There is an issue with all these vehicles with water leaking into the vehicles somewhere as of today 1/20/2012 the dealership has had my vehicle and can not find where the water is coming in. The water is leaking out thru the airbag areas, the seatbelt areas and the headliners onto the dash. I am worried about electrical problems. Gm/Saturn has had several complaints about this issue (edmunds. Com) shows a multitude of complaints but there yet has been any recall made to attempt to figure out this problem and not only that the dealership said I could be financially responsible for this and not gm/Saturn even though there are serious issues with this happening. This leak could if it has not already caused some type of electrical issues that have not been detected yet and I will be stuck because gm will not recall this item. They did have arecall for this in 08 but it doesn't seem to be holding up and I was actually told by a dealership that "I was screwed". Help us please.
I have experienced only issues all year with my 2007 Saturn Outlook. It has 55,000 miles and in June 2010 the wiring short circuited behind the steering wheel causing the theft security lock system to go into effect assuming the car was being hot-wired. It cost me over $300 to fix at the dealer and had to be towed. Then the dealer said my inside fuse box was completely corroded from water and they would need to fix the leak my sunroof was causing. The dealer has made 6 attempts to fix and I just picked up my car this morning, hopefully after the final attempt. Now my breaks are causing issues, the break pedal softens and goes down to almost the floor when pressed every 4th or 5th time and it is drinking brake fluid, I need to take it this weekend to check for a leak. Not to mention my power steering is making loud whining sounds every time that I move the steering wheel. Oh, and my passenger side low beam headlight has gone out a few times and my husband has had to access the back of it to replace it but it continues to go out. Oh, and my transmission caused problems two weeks ago and the dealer fixed it under my powertrain warranty. . 55,000 miles and this car is giving me issues as if I'm over 200,000 miles!.
When purchased we were told there had been a problem with sunroof leakage but it had been fixed. Since then 5 times in for repair leaking sunroof water coming out of airbag holders, dome lights ,overhead electronics. Several fuses have been blown now we wonder if the side impact airbags are still functional water ran out by them. This is not just a drip but water pours out.
Problems with passenger airbag - sometimes it would say off when a passenger is seated and sometimes it would say on and then turn off after some time. Had to have work done on the fuel pump, then the drive shaft went to the point where it car had to be towed. I was told that this never happens. Currently, the car now kicks back when the car is first moved for that day and the dash board will flash, either, speed limited to 108pmh (when pulling out of driveway), park assist is off (when it is on),or traction control is off (when it has never been touched) - the car will also shut off without me doing so. I have taken it to a Saturn dealership and they say that they can find anything wrong with the car. I am currently five months pregnant and I do not feel safe in the car. When the car kicks back it hurts.
