Brake Electric Antilock Problems of Saturn SC2

While applying the brake pedal the consumer noticed that the pedal went down. The consumer was able to maintain control of the vehicle and drove it to the dealer for inspection. The mechanic determined that the brakes needed to be adjusted and cleaned. The mechanic cleaned and adjusted the brakes. However, the problem recurred. The consumer took the vehicle in for service three times and the problem still exists.

Driver attemtped to enter left lane on interstate while traveling at 65-67 mph. While entering lane, and at diagonal, had to hit barkes suddenly due to driver in car immediately ahead of vehicle leaving right lane without notice. Hit barkes and rear right wheel "gave' and car rear end began to fishtail uncontrollably. Driver had to exit highway to ceter v-shaped median. Traveling at high, though reduced rate of speed. Car traveled down near incline into v of median center. Car hit ascending area of medianwith front (80%) left (20%) portion of vehicle. Tore off fogs lights, broke lower air dam and tore off license plate brackett while crumpling license plate. Left front tire hit inclined area of median. Vehicle flipped onto roof. Despite impact, air bags did not deploy. Driver suffered concussion, body lacerations, cervical fracture. Bumper travel.

While driving at 30mph consumer took foot off accelerator and vehicle kept going. She then applied brakes; but, it did not slow vehicle. Applied transmission, and tachometer went to 3000 rpms. She then released transmission, and vehicle kept speed of 35 mph. She applied brakes and transmission, vehicle slowed and engine raced. But, stopped at light. She let go of transmission and brakes, and by that time she had shifted up to 3rd gear without applying accelerator, vehicle reached 35 mph. After 1/2 to 3/4 mile engine stopped racing, and consumer was able to stop vehicle. Dealer found nothing wrong with vehicle. Miles at incident 19800.

When driving at 50 mph and upon making a normal stop brake pedal traveled to the floorboard, causing extended stopping distance, and resulting in vehicle running into a field over a railroad. Vehicle was totaled.

Applied brakes on rainy road. Vehicle slid through red light & broadsided another vehicle. Driver hit side left window & steering wheel. Then hit light pole. Air bags deployed. Driver was unconscience. The rear seat collapsed forward after being hit.
