Two problems related to steering have been reported for the 1997 Saturn SL. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
There is alot of play in steering, and theres avery loud poping noise when turning wheel.
Traveling about 5 mph there was total loss of steering, resulting in steering lock up diagnosis, the retaining clip omitted during assembly.
