One problem related to fuel hoses lines/piping and fittings has been reported for the 1998 Saturn SL1. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Gas leaking. Running low on gas after fill up. Had car looked at and there are holes in the gas line, running from the engine to gas tank. Fuel line is apparently is plastic and is deteriorating.
