Two problems related to air bag light on have been reported for the 1999 Saturn SL1. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Problems with air bag light illuminating. The consumers had problems with the air bag light flashing in the dash. When taken to the service dealer they determined that the passenger frontal development loop had low resistance and the electrical circuits would have to determine the root cause as to why the light continue to flash on and off.
There was a consistent problem with the "check air bag light" on the vehicle. The dealer wanted $66. 50 an hour to find the problem.
