One problem related to differential unit has been reported for the 1996 Saturn SL2. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Differential pin in automatic transmission 1996 Saturn Sl2 (mp7 transmission) this pin works it's way loose and puts a hole in the front pump cover which inturn leads to fluid leaking and an expensive repair. This is the second time that this has happened to me.
