One problem related to water pump has been reported for the 1998 Saturn SL2. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The motor mount failed. Dealer notified. The mount probably malfunctioned prior to 52184 miles. The mounts for the vibration was found on the top of the engine in which the mount(s) cracked. The water pump was replaced because a leak was found.
