Car Stall problems of the 1999 Saturn SL2

Three problems related to car stall have been reported for the 1999 Saturn SL2. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 12/14/2004

While driving at highway speeds the vehicle stalled. Consumer managed to pull over and restarted the vehicle. Dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem.

2 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 06/05/2000

While exiting the freeway, I came to a stop at the end of the ramp at a red light, the auto stalled, I tried to restart it without success, I then saw black smoke billowing from the engine compartment, by the thme the fire dept. Arrived the front end of the car was completely destroyed. The headlights were melted, as was the fenders and front bumper.

3 Car Stall problem

Intermittently vehicle stalls out and dies. Dealer has not been able to duplicate the problem. Manufacturer has been notified.
