Two problems related to seat belt have been reported for the 1999 Saturn SL2. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
1999 Saturn air bags failed to deploy upon frontal impact. The seat belt also failed to restrain the consumer. The seat belt was the subject of a recall and the car was taken to the dealer for repairs.
My wife was involved in an auto accident where she was wearing her seat belt that ended up breaking. In my conversations with other people I have come across 2 other people that had the same issue with the same manufacturer(Saturn).
