One problem related to axle shaft seal has been reported for the 2001 Saturn SL2. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The axle squeaked while the vehicle was in motion. . Front left axle has been replaced, but noise continued. Consumer took vehicle to another dealer where the technician located the problem-axle seals. Technician replaced both axle seals, and problem has been solved.
