Gas cap causes cel to come on. Replacement caps fail to work. It seems a chronic problem.
The security system resets it's self very often. I throttles the speed randomly and when you finally get stationary it locks up the fuel so there is no way to start the car untill you do the relearn process which takes 30 min or longer and your lucky if that works. Yes this has all happened to me. I've owned the car for 3 days now and last time it was driving was the day I brought it home after buying it.
While driving car began smoking from under hood (at top of hood on passenger side. Car also began shaking not the steering column but the car itself. It had been shaking intermittently earlier but stopped and then began again when the car began smoking.
Fuel lines are rusted out and leaking gas only at the retaining clips under the rear doors. The lines are not rusted in any other area.
