When it is cold, it is very difficult to turn the key in the ignition. Its takes approx. 30-45 minutes to try and get the key to turn over. Also, once the car is on it is extremely easy for the key to come out of the ignition while the car is running. My transmission also shakes uncontrollably in the park of brake position. When going up and hills or driving on rough roads my speed decreases with out my control. My check engine light comes on at least once a month. I have had to go it checked but, was told that the problems they are mentioned are not problems at all and they can not understand why the engine light keeps coming on.
My car has, again, demonstrated failure to accelerate during operation. The car has been "repaired" by the local GMC dealer in oct 2011 and again earlier this week for the same problem. I picked the car up on wed evening, two days ago, and the same problem recurred today on my way back to the office from lunch. I do not feel safe driving this car! once the gas pump fails to operate, it simply will not move until the car has been turned off and allowed to sit for a while.
While passing another vehicle at around 50 mph, my wife's Saturn Vue (awd) began to accelerate on its own, and wouldn't stop. She floored the brakes hard enough to slow the vehicle down and pull over to the side of road. But the engine continue to run at a very high rpm, on it's own, until she shut it off.
