Adaptive Equipment Problems of Saturn VUE

Our 2008 Saturn Vue xe recently started locking up the abs and brakes while driving. It happens in stop and go traffic and most frighteningly at freeway speeds. The vehicle will apply the brakes at will for no reason and the abs and traction control indicators come on. We have had the vehicle serviced multiple times and we have replaced all brake hardware and the issue still exists. We have done countless hours of research and have found that hundreds of Saturn, Chevrolet, and commodore vehicles exhibit the same issues and general motors dealerships do not even have an answer. The vehicle brake issues render the vehicle inoperable and cause immediate slowness and inability to maneuver on the freeway when it locks up. We cannot use the vehicle and have exhausted all resources and options trying to fix the issue. It cannot be traded in with these issues either. Can somebody investigate possible recalls or dealer solutions so we can feel safe driving. . . With or without our small children. Please help.

The knob to control the front seat adjusting, keeps falling off. I was told only dealer can replace this I took it in once said they fixed it but it wasn't.

Vehicle would inexplicably and without warning completely shut down ,killing power to all components. Sometimes if you stopped and put it into park it would restart. Other times it would take a while. My mechanic was unable to replicate the problem. It was quite alarming and caused me to get rid of the vehicle a couple months after buying it and absorbing a substantial loss.

The key became very difficult to turn the ignition on. I used the second key and it worked better for a few years but is becoming a problem again. I do not have anything heavy hanging from the ignition key. I also discovered that the ignition key can be removed while the vehicle is running.

I am often finding my Saturn SUV hydroplaning in the rain. . . . Not only my Vue but my step brother's Vue was totalled when he hydroplaned into a semi on the highway. An associate of his also totalled his Vue by hydroplaning. . . . I am concerned about this problem since I have too have had instances of hydroplaning. My Vue is the main transporation of my children and I do not feal secure or safe driving them when the pavement is wet or it is raining.
