Door Latch Problems of Saturn VUE

The contact owns a 2006 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that the rear driver's side door lock failed. The latch did not lock and was unable to unlatch while it was locked. The contact mentioned that on one occasion, the door flew open while the contact drove with a passenger in the rear seat. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 127,000 and the current mileage was 129,000.

The contact owns a 2006 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that the inside door handles on the rear passenger and driver side became inoperable and prevent the doors from latching and closing. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The door latch on the rear passenger side was replaced at the owners expense. The rear driver side handle was not been repaired. General motors was contacted and stated that someone would call return her call. The failure and current mileages were 70,000. The VIN was unknown.

The contact owns a 2008 Saturn Vue. Whenever the contact opens the front passenger side door handle to enter the vehicle, the door handle will remain open. If you are unaware of the failure, the door could open while driving because it is not fully locked. The dealer stated that all of the vehicles of this model have the same issue. If they were to replace the part, it would be with another defective part, which would not remedy the failure. The contact believes that the manufacturer should issue a recall. The door locks on our 2008 Saturn Vue automatically unlock when the vehicle is put into park. All four doors unlock. According to the dealer and manufacture, there is no way to disable this feature. I think this is unsafe when parking, especially in unfamiliar areas. I would like the option of having the doors remain locked until I want them unlocked.

The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that she left the driver side door slightly ajar. When she touched the door, all the vehicle doors locked. The key was in the vehicle but not in the ignition. The contact called on star to unlock the door, but their system was showing that the doors were unlocked. The police were called because a child was in the vehicle. The doors unlocked automatically. The dealer reset the locks but did not know what triggered the failure. The engine size was unknown. Rear driver's side door opening mechanism failed. Obvious safety issue for back seat where children sit in car. Dealer noted that manuf had since redesigned the mechanism however manuf would not reimburse for repair cost of $275 when contacted repeatedly.

Drivers door would not open. . This happened 3 or 4 times over the past couple months but usually after attempting several times the door would finally open, however this time it would not open. . I returned to my home and refused to drive the car until the dealer could look at it and solve the problem. It took 4 days before I could get an appointment. After driving 75 miles to the nearest dealership I was told that the door panel had 2 broken clips that held the side panel on and that it would cost $450 to replace the door panel. . I find this to be an extreme safety hazard in the event of an accident or fire and the need to evacuate the automobile. . My issue has not been addressed as of yet but after owning a total of 3 Saturn cars and all three having defective issues that Saturn will probably do nothing. I find it odd that Saturn offered 2 years ago to buy back our Saturn Vue because they wanted to use it for research. . . We declined although we now regret not following through with it. Saturn does not stand behind their product and never claim liability for their faulty product. I would never buy another Saturn product nor would I ever recommend Saturn to a friend.

Saturn Vue experiencing problems with the transmission, catalytic converter shield, windshield, accelerator, rear suspension, defective passenger side ball joints, struts and bushings. ** answer required***. The defective catalytic converter shield was replaced, there was noise under the vehicle in the exhaust area of the vehicle due to a defective muffler. The windshield rattled at high speeds. The accelerator pedal stuck resulting in sudden acceleration. The driver's door would not open from the inside.

1) left passenger door flew open while driving 40 mph down a surface street; 2) no door ajar system for passenger doors (only trunk and if a loose gas cap); 3) contacted Saturn, feel there 2003 Saturn Vue is safe without this feature. They will only take it under advisement. It is my responsibility to ensure the doors are closed. Unacceptable! even my 8 year old Ford aerostar van had that system; and, with kids it is necessary!.

Air conditioner compressor failed without warning at 42,000 miles.

Automatic door locks would intermittently lock the doors which prevent the consumer from getting in or out of the vehicle. Dealer was notified. Dealer replaced the power door assembly, but problem recurred. Then, dealer was unable to resolved this issue.

Consumer stated the front door latches released from the inside of vehicle. Dealer has been contacted. The inside release handles failed. The only way to open the door was to reach outside the window and pull the door handle. The door was repaired three times.

My complaints are several . All of which have been described in technicakl bulletins. I have had my vehicle back to the dealer no less than 10 times since I ourchased it. Now, I live with the issues because I can't afford to lose additional work , the worst problem is the vibration in the drivetrain at idle (when in drive and the vibration driving at 60-65. In addition, the front drivers door squeeks ( I belive its the insulation) my luggage bolts broke, the seat cushion on the drivers side would not stay attached on the front edge, there is a popping noise when the truck is idling, when you close the rear liftgate, the plastic interior seperates from the door, whe it is cold my steering column make noise.

2003 Vue customer states that the transmission had a recall and after having it fix it began to have problems a couple of months later then the whole transmission had to be replaced* the drivers door would not open from the inside, the brakes squealed whenever the consumer backed-up and the rear wiper was replaced.
