Headlights Problems of Saturn VUE

I have replaced my headlights 4 times(both sides) and wire harness keeps melting. I have made a complaint before and received no response. I have now purchased the wire harness and I hope this will not burn also. 2. The car jumps when shifting in reverse which indicates the parking pawl. This has been an issue for over a year now and no response returned. 3. Water is leaking into my car. The front and backseat floors are soaked. Looks like the seal around the firewall is not sealing properly. I saw multiple people have the same issue on the 2008-2010 Saturn Vue. Why isn't there a recall? this could cause a major electrical issue.

The contact owns a 2004 Saturn Vue. While the vehicle was stationary, the driver side low beam headlight malfunctioned. The contact stated that the headlight had burned out and was melted at the socket. The contact replaced the driver side headlight three times in the past six months. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 171,000.

The wiring harness to the passenger side head light keeps melting, causing me to loose the use of that headlight. I have already repaired the situation twice, now I am see that other Saturn owners have had the same issue. I called gm and there is no recall? how is that possible. I have struggled with this issue for 2 years. This is a serious safety concern, I can't see with one headlight. Please help.

The contact owns a 2006 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that while driving at 55 mph, a puff of smoke and an abnormal odor emitted from the steering wheel without warning. In addition, the high beam indicator flashed on and off independently. The contact also stated that on another occasion, the high beam and low beam headlights operated independently and failed to shut off as the vehicle was off. The contact was able to shut off the lights by starting the vehicle and then shutting it off. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. Both headlight wiring melted. Replaced both side headlights and after 2 years the wire harness melted again the parking pawl gets stuck often. When putting the car in reverse the parking pawl gets stuck. Then it will eventually go into reverse but the car jerks and makes a clunking noise. The light issue I've been dealing with for the last 3 years now. The parking pawl issue has been like this for over a year now.

Driver side headlight went out and then came back on. Then the next day it went out again and never came back on. Took the headlight out and the connectors are melted. . This I think is not good and its going to cost about $150 to fix.

The key will fall out of ignition while driving, also the door locks will fleaker off and on and the reading lights do not go off. , I am afraid to have anyone in my car especially my grandchildren, I will be driving and the locks will start acting crazy going up and down causing my grandson to be afraid, can I get some information on why this is happening, it first started with the keys not staying in the ignition, I thought this was odd especially while the car was on. Please help me resolve this issue, I took my car in to be fixed one headlight was out and the fuel pump they installed also the manifold and also the front rotary was all done. The contact owns a 2004 Saturn Vue. After the key was removed from the ignition, the headlights remained illuminated and smoke appeared near the steering column. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The VIN was unavailable. The failure mileage was 104,000.

Passenger headlight went out. I attempted to fix it, but a new bulb doesn't resolve the issue. The protective cover over the wiring going to the light is melted and there are noticeable burn marks around the light and light housing.

The contact owns a 2008 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that the brake lights, headlights, and instrumental panel lights shut off several times. Most recently, while driving 55 mph, all of the lights dimmed. When the first failure occurred, the dealer replaced the computer body sensor. After the last failure, the dealer replaced the instrumental gauge cluster and the powertrain control module. The contact has not driven the vehicle since it was repaired. The manufacturer informed the contact that they were unable to exchange the vehicle. The current mileage was 3,719 and failure mileage was 2,070. Updated 04/02/08. The fuel pump was replaced, because the vehicle would not start.

I have an 05 Saturn Vue. I am having problems with the headlights switching to the daytime running lights when I am driving at night. My dash goes completely black with the only lights coming from the dash being the green headlight that indicates the daytime lights are on and the light from the odometer. When this happens I also lose my taillights making it dangerous. This has been going on for months and I have had no resolution to this from the dealer. They claim they have to see it happen in order for them to fix it. There is no pattern to when this will occur as it comes and goes intermittently.

1) purchased 2005 Saturn relay van; 2) all lights on vehicle are variable. This is at all times. It is distracting while driving at dark periods. Lights vary light output, not maintaining steady output. Saturn has acknowledged that all relays have this problem, and stated to mechanic that the alternator must be replaced. Supposed to be available 1-14,2005. 3) dealer continues to anticipate replacement alternator, but since 1-3-05, we are still waiting, with no resolve.

Intermittently while driving at night the headlights failed. This caused poor visibility to the driver. Consumer was able to maintain control of the vehicle , and drove it to the dealer for inspection. Mechanic determined that the body control module needed to be replaced and replaced it. However, the problem recurred , and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer for inspection. Mechanic could not duplicate the problem.

The headlight and daytime run lights burn out when it rains. . . Instead of finding out the cause of the problem is, the dealer just replaces the bulbs and sends me on my way. The following rainy day, there I am back at the dealer with the same problem. So far this will be the third time, not including the problems with the drivetrain/rear diff that had to be replaced, the dash and cabin rattles that none can seem to fix, and the transmission that once left me stranded at a stop sign.

Consumer states that headlights are out of alignment, reducing visibility during night driving. Dealer has adjusted twice, but problem still exists.
