Structure Problems of Saturn VUE

2002 Saturn Vue. Consumer is seeking reimbursement for vehicle amount. Consumer states that the frame was broken and rusted making vehicle unsafe to drive. The consumer stated the vehicle was located at an impound yard. The consumer was informed the vehicle was not able to be repaired.

The contact owns a 2009 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that while driving 40 mph, the sun visor came down obstructing blocking the view. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 59,000. The VIN was not unavailable.

The contact owns a 2009 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that the driver's side visor retraction clip fractured and the visor would not properly retract. The contact also mentioned that the dome, door, and glove compartment lights failed to activate. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. After rainy days the entire driver side floor is soaked with water, overhead on roof is also wet along side the driver door and sunroof causing the driver side seat to become wet. I'm concerned about a mold forming in my vehicle, which is used to transport children daily.

Door handle sticks in open position. The door has flown open while driving twice due to this defective handle.

No accident. I'm reporting designflaw: Saturn Vue service manual states not use tire chains, but no suggestion of what to use in snow. After many phone calls I found Saturn sells spike spiders for $470 to more than $500 a pop. These spikes are said by the spike spider manufacturer, not to interfere with sensors, brakes, suspension on the side of the tire next to the vehicle. My Saturn dealership was careful not to recommend these very expensive spikes. I had to ask them. But Saturn does sell them at their dealerships. When calling the nationwide Saturn customer service number, they didn't have an answer at all for me. In fact, they wanted to talk about everything but my question. So, it is either pay for very expensive after market product or use nothing. I fear the latter. How many folks will go without this winter due to cost and availability. All due to the design of the vehicle. Someone wasn't thinking.

First I had to replace three of four wheel bearings on the vehicle in June of 2006 four months after I got the vehicle. Then just two months ago a sway bar link broke and broke a strut so I had to replace them. Now I am stuck with a 2003 Saturn Vue in my driveway still paying for it with a bad transmission. Everything was going good after the struts I thought I had it all fixed but then my girlfriend went to leave the driveway and there is no reverse in the vehicle.

Upon getting in my truck the change tray was slightly open . I got in and it cut my right leg one inch down from my knee. It began to bleed and skin was left on the sharp part of the tray. It has left a scar and I want to advise you how serious it was.

Damage to my rear differential clutches on my awd 2003 Saturn Vue. The vent that lets air in and out of the clutch housing would allow water to enter as well. Water would then mix with the gear oil in that clutch housing case and cause the clutch pack to "whine" or "growl" on a sharp turn. There has been no recall on the 2003 Saturn Vue and Saturn re-designed the Vue in 2004.

Consumer was unable to have recall work done on 2003 Saturn Vue, due to parts were not available. The consumer also encountered problems with the a/c failing to work properly, molding peeling away from the structure and the rear suspension collapsing which caused the roll over.

The headlight and daytime run lights burn out when it rains. . . Instead of finding out the cause of the problem is, the dealer just replaces the bulbs and sends me on my way. The following rainy day, there I am back at the dealer with the same problem. So far this will be the third time, not including the problems with the drivetrain/rear diff that had to be replaced, the dash and cabin rattles that none can seem to fix, and the transmission that once left me stranded at a stop sign.

2007 Saturn Vue was serviced because of the check engine and battery lights illuminating. Dealer replaced and fixed several problems. Consumer was still not happy with the way the vehicle ran. The consumer stated the radio was replaced for the third time, and there was even more wind noise from the driver side door with the new rubber seal. The consumer also stated major loss of power, rough upshifting, double downshifting while braking and poor fuel economy. The consumer was told a new calibration was made to the pcm as part of the correction made along with the wiring harness to make the check engine and battery lights go off.
