On 5/31/2011 I had work done on my brakes at a local vendor. At that time, I was informed to get to a tire shop immediately and not to travel out of town as was my plan. I took the car to discount tires where I was told all 4 of the tires were literally shredded on the whitewall side, which was on the interior. The exact same damage to all 4 tires indicates this is a manufacturer's defect. When I saw the state of the tires, my heart stopped. These tires have gone 37,900 miles. This type of damage is not normal wear. Something is very wrong with these tires, and I am just thankful to god there was no collision. I commute to graduate school several times a month. I often have children in my car for church activities. I purchased 2 new tires yesterday at a cost of $233. 00 and cannot drive my car until I am able to purchase 2 more tires.

I have had to replace wheel bearings, the brakes 2x in 2 years, gone through 2 sets of tires and now I have to replace the electric steering column.
I purchased my tires on 3-14-10. There is such excessive road noise that within 30 minutes of a trip you will have a splitting head ache. My purchase of tires, road hazard warranty high per and 3yr whelel alignment was 627. 45. I have gone to have tires rotated balanced and alignment regularly. It is a big inconveience to drive my Vue because of the noise. This is to much. I have never been so unhappy and dissatisfied with the purchase of tires I have made like I am with these yokohama tires size 225/65r17 102 , 31920. I have nothing good to say about yokohama tires at this point. I can't get any satisfaction on them. You would think that new tires wouldn't pick up punctures so easy either but they do. I hate my purchase and I will not advise anyone to buy a yokohama tire of any kind. It can't be that the tires are worn because they are not worn. I haven't even put 20,000 miles on the tires yet. I even went as far to see if there was something wrong with my wheels. Bearing. . Seals. . And all and nothing is wrong there. I have had no satisfaction from anyone on these tires. Now I found this site. Let's see what kind of response I get here.

1. Brakes. I have had the front brakes and rotors replaced/cut down on this car on the average of about every 20k. I consider this abnormal wear and before you respond with driving conditions, and my other Saturn sl needed brakes on the average of 60k with the same driving conditions. When I questioned soe they told me that it was my driving habits, but as of the recent events, I have begun to question their diagnosis of any problems related to my car. 2. Transmission shifting/wobble/shimmy/vibration. I have complained since new that this transmission has shifted rough, and I was told working as designed. Nobody has been able to find anything wrong yet this problem still exists. 3. Tire wear related to recall. I had to request that my vehicle have the recall performed on it. Yet, after doing research and watching my tires wear. Sometimes in less that 15k something I would consider prematurely, even for performance tires, and reading several owner sites my wear is indicative of a service not being performed. 4. Wheel bearing wear. I have had to have my front wheel bearings replaced 2x in the last 30k. The first occurrence was at 72k when the first replacement was made, and the 2nd was at 99k it was during the 72k service I complained my rotors warping(since I had 2 sets replaced/cut previously) and I was told it was just worn tires and they would not even consider the brake issue, until I purchased new tires. I purchased new tires and the wobbly sound was louder than now that there was new tires on the vehicle. So then recommended replacing the rotors, when I asked about brake pads they told me it was unnecessary. Seemingly illogical, since you had to remove the brake pads anyway, and tired of arguing I did not push the issue, as I needed my car, and loaner availability seemed to dry up since I was out so far out of the factory warranty.

Squeak noise intermittent when first obtained vehicle. Adjustments made periodically under warranty ( to dashboard etc. ) noise seemed to go away but always came back. Noise became louder, and more like a creaking noise, when at low speeds or over bumps when brake is not being pressed. Took Vue in while under 49,700 miles, visual inspection found front stabilizer links to be noisy. I declined them repairing it as they would not replace fro free or discount, even with such low mileage, and noise has been present. I stopped taking it to the dealer after warranty was up as they have a reputation in town to not work with the customer. Lateral links were already replaced under warranty, I feel the stabilizer links should be replaced free also, with such low mileage. I will take it to a mechanic and have it down, for my own safety, but I feel I deserve reimbursement for that as well as the front and rear brakes I just had put on and front wheel bearing! I also had to replace all 4 tires on car due to wear, and car had less than 4500 miles on it.
