Check engine light came on. Mechanic advised I needed a new battery. Purchased a new battery and check engine light is still on. My hybrid system is not kicking in. I researched online and read recalls on this car for this year with this problem, however my VIN number is not being recognized as one of the vehicles defected. Please help me get this fixed. Its a documented problem and my vehicle should be included on the recall list to have this reparied.
