Equipment problem #1

Hybrid batteries are full of corrosion and most likely leaking. Saw some stuff about a possible recall on this.

Equipment problem #2

Battery eroded and hybrid stopped working. Brakes squeak. Car won't start sometimes.

Equipment problem #3

Ignition key can be fully removed as vehicle is running and also while switch is in acc. Ignition switch also sticks.

Equipment problem #4

The ignition was not turning over properly. The battery light was on. The brake light came on. The traction control system came on. The (abs) light came on. The check engine light came on. The oil pressure light came on. I drove my car from fresno to yosemite and right in front of the park garage it broke down and I managed to roll it off the road and into a stall. I requested professional advice. The professional said it appeared to him to be a faulty altenator, a failed electrical system, and a battery problem, as well as a problem with the ignition switch. They did not have the tools to examine the products, so instructed me to have it towed to the dealer in the nearest locale. This is a specific car dealer in fresno, CA.

Equipment problem #5

1) like others, I also have had occasional, but frustrating, problems getting my key out of the ignition. 2) I returned my Saturn to the dealership several times for a light that keeps coming on which was treated by the service department as a seatbelt issue. Still coming on (and they replaced the seatbelt)! but I think they were wrong and that the light coming on is really the airbag light. Again, doesn't happen everyday, but enough that if it is truly the airbag and I'm in an accident, I'm out of luck. Sometimes if I wait until the beeping stops when I turn on the car, before I put on my seatbelt, it seems like it doesn't go on as much.

Equipment problem #6

Having trouble getting the key to turn in the ignition. Can take numerous tries and several minutes before the key finally turns. Not sure what makes the key turn -- had it work after buckling the seat belt, shifting the steering wheel, or taking the key out and trying again. Problem has been worsening in the past few days, but has occurred on and off for several months.

Equipment problem #7

When attempting to drive the car it would only move in reverse. It was pushed to a local gm dealer and the service center concluded that the transmission needed replacement. The announcement about the recall of 2008 Saturn vues for the power train:automatic transmission issued on 5/6/2008 was not mentioned by the dealer when the vehicle was purchased new in 7/2008 and was not subsequently received by the owner. The "my gm" website for gm vehicle owners does not recognize the vehicle VIN when it is entered, and thus provides no information on recalls for the vehicle. However, the VIN is recognized as valid on this site, indicating that the VIN is contained in state records.
