One problem related to automatic transmission floor shift has been reported for the 2008 Smart Fortwo Cabrio. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The car has a intermittent problem with shifting into reverse. When shifted the transmission lever to the reverse position the shift indicator on the information center will show blank and a high pitch beeping sound will be heard.
