The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed that the tires needed to be replaced and that the dealer would send the defective tires to the tire manufacturer for examination and reimbursement consideration. The tires were not yet replaced due to the cost. The tires were original tires. The vehicle and tire failure mileage was 19,200.

The contact stated while driving 65 mph, the front driver's side of the vehicle suddenly lowered. The contact was able to coast to the side of the road, where the contact became aware that the side wall of the front driver's side tire had blown out in 5 different places. The contact replaced the tire with the spare tire. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The contact completed some research and learned that the tire failure was a known failure. 225 /60 r 17 99h was driving on a freeway when heard a pop, pulled over immediately on left shoulder and tire had holes in sidewall putting me in a very dangerous situation. Yokohama consumer affairs could care less about the situation, I hope people dont hurt driving with these tires.

Rear tire mostly but all 4 - need to add air 2-3 times daily. Even adjusting the air pressure when tires are cold we still need to add air daily. Driving an hour at highway speed, parking car for a couple of hours and still the tire pressure is never sufficient. Brought to dealer 2 or 3 times and they cannot find a reason, me niece and others have also expressed this issue to me.

Three of four original equipment tires failed, the first one at 10k miles. Two failures were located at the sidewall/tread corner. The third tire failure was located in the tread area. The third tire is available for inspection. The vehicle electronic system informed us of the tire problem, when tires failed, so vehicle could be moved to safe area. Tire size: 225/60r17 the first failure was 1/25/24 with 10k miles the second failure (of a different tire) was on 7/16/2024 with 19k miles. On 09/29/22 while crossing the richmond bridge, the drivers rear tire experienced a sudden and complete blowout of the tire. All rubber separated from the rim and landed in the adjacent left traffic lane. I slowly came to a complete stop on the bridge with hazard lights on. A bridge service vehicle arrived within 1-2 minutes and helped change to the spare. My tires had just been serviced at costco tire center in novato on 09/25/22 and they maintain that the failure is due to manufacturing defect as they tire passed their inspection.
