Automatic Transmission Gear Indicator problems of the 2007 Subaru Forester

The contact owns a 2007 Subaru Forester. The contact stated while driving at an unknown speed, the gear shifter failed to operate as designed. The contact stated that while placing the vehicle in reverse the vehicle went into forward and accelerate forward causing the contacts vehicle to crash on top of a large rock. The contacted stated that she sustained injuries to the face and the right eye. The contact stated she had to have eye surgery due to this crash. The contact stated that the law enforcement did not arrive on the scene and no police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic but was not diagnosed nor repaired.
