The contact owns a 2014 Subaru Forester. While driving various speeds, the dual camera system in the vehicle malfunctioned over time. The contact's visibility was affected by the fog build up on the dual camera system feature of the vehicle. The two front cameras attached to the headliner of the vehicle were the affected. Randy marion Subaru of mooresville, north carolina was made aware of the issue and stated that there was no procedure or TSB available to assist in cleaning the cameras. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 24,000.

Sensing System Camera problem #2

The contact owns a 2014 Subaru Forester. The contact stated that while reversing the rearview camera failed to display an image on the screen. The contact stated that the failure occurred intermittently. The contact also stated that after starting the vehicle or while driving at various speeds the front passenger’s seatbelt and air bag warning lights would illuminate while there was no occupant in the seat. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 19v701000 (air bags) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or a dealer. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in a recall. The approximate failure mileage was 72,500.
