Axle Shaft problems of the 1997 Subaru Impreza

Two problems related to axle shaft have been reported for the 1997 Subaru Impreza. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Axle Shaft problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2001

I've had the left rear wheel bearings replaced 3 times it has been a total of 6 of both sides.

2 Axle Shaft problem

Failure Date: 10/01/1999

Consumer heard a noise coming from wheels. Dealer had to replace wheel bearings. Wheel bearings replaced in October 1999/ October 2000, and at this time.
