Car just locking on its own as you're driving down the road cruise control light blinking on and off randomly had a brake light gets stuck when I got home and got other vehicle the other night it took you forever to get that off but I have received takata airbag recall notice do not drive and no one can be in the passenger seat also definitely progressed as time went on these unusual symptoms mostly computerized but have a hard time believing they're not related to the airbag recall yes it's available for inspection that's what I tried to do at not closest authorized dealership but they would not budge really on anything at all wouldn't have towed it then tow back wouldn't come pick it up exchange me a car then I would have means of transportation to pick it back up that makes the most sense but I can drive it is what they're telling me but there can be no passengers in the car they want me to bring it down there bottom line but it's nothing like the complimentary round trip towing or other transportation alternatives are available that is advertised on the do not drive paper I got in the mail and its not worth my time arguing with them I had an appointment scheduled on the 17th at 8:30 but that was me driving it down there maybe getting a loaner vehicle while I was there but there just didn't seem like there was no certainty on that but something's got to be straightened out here I can't have my children riding in this car or my wife she's pregnant and my grandmother has got to get to dialysis this week and here I'm stuck I'm trying to get this dealership to reason with me we never come to an appointment to be rescheduled because they don't want to work with me at all drive down there wait and bring it back is it should I contact another dealership right now I'm driving it sparingly to get groceries in a few things by myself but the more I looked into the situation and the bizarre computer errors any more details you need contact me sorry for the grammar errors.

5 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 07/13/2017

Brandon, the service advisor at Subaru of santa cruz, attended to my service and repair needs I had in July of 2017, however not the airbag recall. When I entered the service area I went over my concerns with the vehicle and what services I needed. I also asked brandon to look up and take care of the airbag recall for the vehicle. He said that he would check that out for me. I left the vehicle for a few days and came back to pick it up. I figured airbag recalls are top priorities at Subaru and that everything was remedied. After leaving the dealer I took a closer look at the 5 pages of cryptic paperwork that brandon had handed me and found no mention of the recall repair. 16 people have died as a result of this defect as of 3/17. I am complaing that this oversight by Subaru of santa cruz, having my vehicle in their possesion and not taking care of the safety issue is unacceptable.

Takata recall. I received a letter from Subaru today stating that my car is affected by the recall, but that they don't expect to have sufficient parts to begin repairs until March 31, 2018. I am not happy that I will have to wait such a long time to have my car fixed and would like to know whether the dealerships should be forced to make repairs on a faster, more aggressive time table. I am entering the date I received the letter from subraru of America below.

13 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 08/02/2016

Takata recall - I received a safety recall notice regarding a takata-sourced passenger side frontal airbag. The manual that I received with my 2007 Subaru Impreza states that I have two (2) airbags (driver's and front passenger's frontal airbags) the notice states that parts are not currently available. . We'll notice you again when they are. It also states. . Until this is performed, do not allow passengers to ride in the front passenger seat. . . It should also state " do not ride in the driver's seat". I need to ride in the driver's seat to secure groceries, supplies, and dr. Appointments. I sometimes have passengers with me. I did not purchase the vehicle to park it in the garage. Using the 800-782-2783 number for Subaru of America there is a recording with a full mailbox. . No way to leave a message that I request and demand a corrected notice that I have 2 takata airbags in my vehicle and I want them replaced as soon as possible. The airbags in my vehicle are long past the expiration date of approximately 6 years with the chemical breaking down due to humidity and temperature fluctuations. It is unacceptable to issue an incorrect recall notice and unacceptable to stall on the replacement of these faulty airbags. Your website states that over 9,000,000 airbags have been replaced, but mine have not been replaced. If they have to work day and night to get corrected airbags available, then so be it. I sent an email to the service dept. Of timmons Subaru and Volkswagen of long beach, CA today advising the above. Thank you for your attention to this issue. 15 Air Bag problem

Takata recall: how long is this going to take? my wife is ready to buy a new car but we are unsure about how this recall hanging over the Subaru Impreza is going to affect our ability to sell or trade in the car. We assume the car can't be sold in this condition, and that's a burden. Please advise: auxinn@yahoo. Com.

17 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 07/15/2016

I received the notification about the recall in July 2016. It is now 10/31/16 and I am old that the new airbags are not available. I have been told that I will receive a letter when my car can be repaired, but I have not received anything to date. I am concerned that if there is impact or if weather conditions impact the defective airbag that shrapnel can be released and can be fatal to passenger(s). I cannot carry passengers in my vehicle and I am also concerned for my own well being driving my vehicle.

18 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 07/11/2016

Takata recall Subaru sent a recall notice in July 2016 indicating that "Subaru is in the process of acquiring parts necessary to perform this repair". Meaning that they are not presently able to perform the repair. "until this repair is performed, do not allow passengers to ride in the front passenger seat. " this is entirely impractical. I did not purchase a Subaru to drive it with no one else in the front seat! I need Subaru to either repair the defect in a timely fashion, or to provide me with an alternate form of transportation.

22 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 11/03/2015

I replaced the battery on 7/11/15. I needed a smog certificate this month for my registration renewal and my vehicle would not pass for cettification. I had driven the vehicle over 700 miles after battery replacement and was told that I needed to drive it an additional 50 to 100 miles non-stop to reset the vehicle to pass the inspection. I asked at the dealership can't you reset the vehicle here so that all this driving and mileage is not required, the dealership stated no. The volkswaggons have a reset button on a panel but not the Subaru or any other vehicles. All vehicles should have a reset button and they should be recalled to implement this feature. All vehicles manufactured in the future should have that feature. This incident occurred 11/3/15 thru 11/5/15 having to spend $35. 00 additional in gasoline and driving on the congested freeways to reset the vehicle after battery replacement. I was told that I have tanata air bags in my vehicle. When will they be replaced? thank you. I was told that I have a tanaka air bags in my vehicle by the manufacturer. When will they be replaced?.

25 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2008

The "airbag" light for drivers side comes on and goes off randomly. This problem was discovered while under warranty and I did take the vehicle in for repair. But if the dealership ever repaired the problem (I suspect they did not repair it) the light still continues to come on and go off randomly. The dealership quit returning my phone calls years ago now.
