1 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 09/02/2023

My brake line was extremely rusted and broke while driving. I I discovered this when I got home after I felt a difference in the brake pedal and the responsiveness which quickly lead to no response at all with the brakes and brake light coming on right before I pulled into my driveway.

2 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 03/24/2022

Unknown.

3 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 10/06/2020

While driving down the road(luckily at 35 mph) the brake pedal went straight to the floor. I down shifted and used the ebrake and stopped safely and noticed a puddle under the car in front of the passenger side rear tire. After getting the vehicle home safely, and checking things out, I noticed the 4 way connector (recalled under campaign# wqk-47) was severely rusted and looks as though it had never been addressed. Then, while looking up the part, I noticed there was a recall, but not on my specific year and model, even though the surrounding models and years were recalled. Perhaps this was overlooked? or the amount of unmodified surviving wrx's didn't peticularly justify a recall on that model? either way, it could potentially be a dangerous situation. This is also an incredibly involved fix. The part on the 06-07 Impreza wrx is the exact same part that was recalled on the 05-08 outbacks and legacys. I will be calling Subaru of America today and hopefully they will be able to help me out. But you guys should have them notify any 06-07 wrx owners in the rust belt that this might be a potential safety hazard! feel free to call me at 585-313-0108 for any further explaination! thanks, ben baker.

4 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 09/19/2013

The rear wheel bearings on my car had to be replaced after less than 50k miles. This is not typical wear and tear, the part was defective. The car was outside the manufactures warranty period so I had to pay for the defective part repairs myself.

5 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2010

When I hit the brakes hard for an emergency stop last night the peddle went to the floor and nothing happened, so I took my foot off the peddle and then reapplied and they worked fine, but by that point the deer had already hit me.
