general problems of the 2020 Subaru Impreza

The electrical system failed and battery then exploded. The vehicle is behind held at a tow yard and has been inspected by allied insurance cpi of tower federal credit union. It is available to be inspected for the time being but will be scrapped soon. Both my safety and the safety of others was at risk- this occurred in a wendy’s drive through near other vehicles, a building and of course people there in. There’s video footage of the incident taken by wendy’s staff. The car stopped running as the fire caught- I ( the driver ) had to push the vehicle physically away from the building and cars and got away only one minute before it entirely exploded. Whether or not the problem has been confirmed or reproduced elsewhere is unknown. The fire was extinguished by firefighters and police did take a report as well. There was absolutely no warning that there was an issue prior - not even a hazard light- the only thing I noticed was my oil temp had begun to increase.

The windshield spontaneously cracked while sitting in my driveway. Windshield had no chips, damage, etc. The weather has been in the upper 70's, so no inclement weather. Upon researching, I found that many other Subaru owners have had the same issue.

My car spontanously developed a crack in the windshield. It has slowly grown double in size. The crack has no clear cause, chipping, or impact.

I own a 2020 Impreza hatchback with 18k miles. A significant crack appeared in the windshield out of nowhere, literally while parked in a safe environment. I was advised by Subaru corporate and my local dealership that this is not covered by warranty and would have to make a claim with my insurance. I have had a crack develop in my windshield . This is distracting while driving. I have not reported this . It will be inspected by glass repair shop. There were no warning lights or lamps associated with this .

My windshield cracked straight up the middle for no apparent reason. This problem has been confirmed by numerous NHTSA complaints. Less than 12,000 miles. No rock hit my windshield but I hit a bump when it cracked. $470 to replace or pay my $2,000 deductible.

Windshield cracked for no reason.

A pebble hit the windshield while driving on the interstate highway which creating a roughly 12 inch crack starting in the upper passenger-side of the windshield. Within 24 hours, that crack has increased in length, now extending to the middle of the windshield. This has not been assessed by any repair facilities.

The problem has been recognized as a vehicle that is not meeting manufacturer specifications by the Subaru from pembroke pines. Shifting and harm is visible to frame and vehicle is having clonking and parts are touching.

Second windshield cracked within a year, needs to be replaced.

A crack in my windshield appeared, seemingly over night, and is rapidly growing at an alarming rate. Because of the crack if I do not get this replaced soon my vision will be impeded. This is a problem the affects 2020 Subaru Imprezas and is a current class action law suit. It has not yet been inspected. And there were no prior warnings.

Driving at 40 mph without hitting a bump, and without a lit "hood ajar" warning light, the car's hood flew open smashing the windshield and obstructing the driver's view. This occurred when the vehicle only had 10,022 miles on it and was less than 1 year in service. The vehicle was on a city street with no other traffic. Vehicle was towed to dealer, under dealer's protest.
