I purchased the car brand new from the dealership. The vehicle had two bent rims in the first two years. I replaced those rims with brand new rims from the Subaru dealership, but those first bent rims also caused premature tire wear. Now about a year later I now have two more bent rims on a new set of replacement tires that are beginning to prematurely wear again. These are not on a consistent side of the vehicle but have been spread out. Inspection by the dealership where I have the vehicle maintained determined this was "abnormal" and the service representative informed me they had never seen this many bent rims in such a short time. None of these bent wheels occurred with a flat tire or significant damage to the tire. The tires appear visibly in tact, but the bends cause damage over time by uneven wear and cause the vehicle to shake at highway speeds.
