Started as an unusually high idle while in park (as soon as the car was turned on). After a few hours of running it (driving 48 mi to work and errands), I would put the car into drive & as soon as I would remove my foot from the brake (already having a high idle) it would accelerate on it's own to 15-20 mph. When I would brake and bring the car to a full stop, it would "jump" slightly against the brake. Finally I noticed the gas pedal felt as if it was not moving smoothly. As I took the car off of cruise control (at 65 mph) by turning it off at the cc controls on the wheel (my feet not near the pedals) it began to accelerate rather than slow down. At this point I parked the car & called for a tow to the Subaru service center.
I recently purchased a new car and the dealer refused to provide the monroney sticker. Is that legal?.
Paint on car easily dulled by normal washing. Lots of swirl marks and streaks.
I have a 2005 wrx sti, and the paint has been chipping off!!! I store my car privately, it only has 18,000 miles on it, and the paint gets chipped off by anything and everything. I wax the car monthly and get it detailed quarterly. What kind of paint chips that fast? I have other friends with Subarus and they have the same problem. Thanks for the 32,000 dollar lemon.
This car needed replacement of both rear wheel bearings at slightly over 67,000 miles. No other Subaru I have owned or heard of needed such repairs. My previous Subaru had over 100,000 miles on it with no defects. The shop personel at the dealer said this was a problem with some other Imprezas, as well as foresters. I wrote a letter to Subaru America, after six days I haven't recieved any response. I included a copy of my repair bill as well as my rental car fees.
Differential fluid out; Subaru blames a non-dealer oil change error for problem hence not covered under warranty. Owner had to spend over $350 for replacement auto rental. Owner drove car for 1,700 miles after disputed non-dealer oil change to date when differential fluid outage discovered.
Subaru is well aware of the problem but will not issue a recall. This is a continiuosly defective part and should be recalled! no safety defect listed.
Keyless entry was not working properly/dashlights would go out, and sometimes headlights would go out too. Also, had to pull over on the highway and wait for about 20 minutes because consumer had no back up lights.
The panel near the gas pedal fell down. Nlm.
Ash try will not stay closed, required replacement. Mjs.
Interior cargo compartment carpet/weak material resulting in tearing. Mjs.
A stuck valve caused the car to misfire and the check engine light to go on. It took Subaru 3 months to figure it out.
