Two problems related to hood latch have been reported for the 1996 Subaru Legacy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving 55 mph the hood flew open, shattering the front windshield. Dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem.
While driving at highway speed hood flew up, blocking the drivers view. Dealer and subbaru has been notivied. .
