Four problems related to air bag not deploy have been reported for the 1998 Subaru Legacy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Cpsc#i1220374a. 1998 Legacy Subaru. Consumer stated the air bags failed to deploy in a frontal collision.
Vehicle involved in a frontal collision with a fire hydrant. There was substantial damage to the vehicle and the hydrant did break away as designed. Air bag did not deploy.
During a front end collision driver and passenger side air bags failed to deploy. Yh.
Vehicle was in an accident traveling at 70mph. It was a frontal and side collision, and air bags did not deploy. Dealer has not been contacted.
