Two problems related to tank filler pipe and cap have been reported for the 1998 Subaru Legacy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The fuel filler neck on this vehicle was completely rotted (rusted pipe, plus associated hoses were rotted) and required replacement.
The contact states when filling up the vehicle the fuel filler pipe leaks out half a tank of gas. Also, while driving it will leak gas. He contacted a local dealership, and they said there was no recall on this vehicle at this time.
