The vehicle would not stop even when the brake pedal was depressed due to the cover encasing the pedal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was confirmed that the pedal cover detached. There was no remedy for the issue. The pedal cover was never re-attached. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The VIN was invalid. The failure mileage was approximately 7,200.
