Hood released and blew open while doing 50 mph. After checking oil level, I closed and verified hood was latched, which it was. Driving about 2miles down road, hood blew up causing instant panic and stopping. After pulling over, I found that the hood would no longer latch. I had to use a hammer to bend the latch forward enough to have it latch again.
The contact owns a 2017 Subaru Legacy. The contact stated that there was air noises coming into the vehicle from the vents of the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who stated that they believed the noises were coming from near the mirrors of the vehicle. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000.
I've had to replace the cars front windshield twice since I purchased the car from the dealer. The windshield cracks with the slightest impact from a small piece of debris or rock while driving at freeway speeds.
The windshield cracked while I was driving on a city street at low speed.
Gas cap doesn't open. I decided to buy this car last year because another Legacy car had the same repair showing on its carfax. And now I have the problem with this car. The rep said today that they had another car to repair for the same issue.
This car have very annoying wind noise coming from top of both side window (around b pillar) when speed over 40mph. And I went to dealer twice try to fix this issue, but they said TSB 12-185-15r can only apply to 15-16 year models, not for 17 year model. But this is exactly same problem on the exact same car. . This issue will cause distracted when driving in high speed!!!.
