Two problems related to front suspension leaf spring hanger/bracket have been reported for the 1997 Subaru Outback. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Possible failure of recalled front transverse link may have caused vehicle to suddenly shake violently, loose braking ability and run off road into a guardrail. Driver sustained a few bruises.
Possible weld fracture in the hanger bracket of the front transverse link recalled, recall work not done due to lack of part.
